One Life to Live Recap for Friday, September 27, 2004

Tico and Jess glide elegantly across the floor at the gala, while Duke and Adriana look on. Duke offers to teach Adriana how to waltz and after some coaxing, Adriana agrees and has a great time dancing with Duke. Todd tells Blair that Asa called the police on them but says not to worry, no one will believe Asa. Just after Todd reassures Blair, Asa makes a grand entrance and interrupts the gala “Texas Style”! With a pistol in the air, he fires a shot and tries to hunt down Blair and Todd. Renee and Kevin attempt to calm Asa as he tells them how Blair and Todd left him for dead in the woods. Bo asks him to stop telling tall tales. Bo manages to take the pistol away from Asa and Renee takes him into the bar for a bourbon to pacify him. Later, Asa tells Bo that it was Rex Balsam who found him and charged him a large sum of money to get him out of the hole. Renee has to stay at the gala but Nora volunteers to bring Asa home. Renee says she would not put it past Blair and Todd to pull a stunt like the one Asa is describing!

Outside, Kelly takes in the night air and David comes to find her. She says she could not stand being inside with Kevin. Kelly tells David that their kiss meant nothing and not to worry about it, just as Dorian comes looking for them. As Antonio rummages through Tico’s house looking for clues, Sonia insists that he is not El Tiburon. They decide to head to the gala. Tico calls his spy and tells him to keep a close eye on Antonio and Sonia. Adriana tells Tico how she feels a little out of place at such a fancy gala, just like she felt when she first moved in with Dorian. Dorian reminds Adriana not to be so trusting of everyone she meets. Dorian remarks to David that Kelly seems very happy and wonders if she has met someone. Duke offers to bring Adriana home and David warns him that the only kiss he is to give Adriana will be on the cheeks. Dorian later questions Blair about what Todd has dragged her into this time. Bo then questions Blair about the trip to St. Bart’s and questions the truth behind it and their suspected involvement with Asa’s disappearance. Blair slips away and leaves a message for Todd – she wants no further part in revenge against Asa.

Tico warns Kevin that Asa’s instability can be a political liability but Kevin vows to stand by his grandfather. Jessica is very worried about Asa and as Tico tries to console her and as they dance, Sonia and Antonio arrive and see them together. Tico later tries to stop Sonia and Antonio from leaving but Antonio brushes past him. Tico tells Sonia that Antonio is trying to turn her against him. In Angel Square, Sonia and Antonio kiss after Sonia asks him if he would run away with her when they find the Santi millions.
