Bo goes to John’s apartment and finds Natalie there. Bo wants to talk with Nat, but Nat protests as she explains she’s got a test to study for. Bo gently explains that John isn’t coming home because he was in an accident. Nat doesn’t believe that John is dead, Bo explains that they found the badge near the body to which Nat wants to see the body before she is convinced. Bo doesn’t want her to see John like that and, instead, produces the medal Nat gave to John. Natalie sees the medal and looses it, she has a meltdown in Bo’s arms. Bo wants to stay with her but Nat wants to be alone. Bo makes her promise to call him later on, Nat promises. Bo leaves and runs into Jess, Jess wants to see Nat. Bo explains that Nat was adamant about being alone, Jess agrees to leave Nat alone for the night but wants to be there for her in the future. Meanwhile, inside the apartment, Nat uncontrollably cries. She sees John’s jacket and wraps herself up in it, wanting to be closer to him. . .

Nat wakes up and realizes that John isn’t next to her, she hears a knock at the door and rushes to it – thinking it’s John. Jess is there wanting to comfort Natalie, Nat wants to be alone but Jess is adamant about staying. Nat can’t believe that John is never come back to her, Jess wants to do something to take Nat’s mind of off everything so she goes out to get food. Jess returns to find Nat gone. Paige goes to see Bo at the station to see how he’s holding up, Bo sees Spencer and goes out to talk with him. Paige follows, Nora is asking Spencer something as Antonio approaches. Bo calls Antonio into his office, Nora asks Spencer why he persisted to have Paige perform the surgery on Thomas knowing full well that Paige was tipsy. Paige explains that it doesn’t matter now, all she wants to do is put everything behind her. Spencer is taken to court for another bail hearing. In Bo’s office, Bo realizes that he needs to fill the position of Chief Detective and wants Antonio for the job. Bo explains that Antonio’s personal feelings can’t get in the way, Antonio promises not to get personally involved. Bo also explains that, before anything else, he wants to plan John’s funeral.

Antonio goes back into the station and gets a call from Jess, asking if he’s seen Nat. Nat shows up at the station, Antonio tells Jess that he’ll call her back soon. Nat asks Antonio to see Bo, Antonio goes to get Bo. Nat becomes enraged when she sees an officer scraping off John’s name on his office door, Bo calms her down and takes Nat into his office. Bo explains that he knows what she’s going thru – he’s been there before. Nat wants to see the body, Bo talks her out of it wanting her to remember the good things John did. Bo goes to take care of something, Nat sees Spencer and walks closer to hear him talking with Antonio about John’s unfortunate accident. Nat blames Spencer for killing John.
