One Life to Live Recap for Tuesday, August 24, 2004

Kelly continues popping pills. Addie visits and says she's not leaving until Blair and Kelly and Dorian all reconcile. Blair spouts out her complaints about Kelly, but Dorian reminds her that they're family and they love each other. Kelly feels that Blair and Dorian are discussing her custody case as if she's not in the room. She leaves in anger.

Todd tries getting chummy with Duke, but to no avail. Duke insists that although he's not happy with Kevin right now, he still won't side with Todd against Kevin. Todd tells Blair that Duke sports the same look in his eyes that Kevin did when he chased Blair around Llanview last year, and he thinks they can turn Duke against Kevin by milking Duke's attraction for all its worth.

Tico tells Sonia that he knows she went to Rodi's last night and met two men. He's worried that she'll ruin their plans if she does something wrong, but Sonia says she was only meeting friends. Viki meets with Tico about his plans to host the heart disease charity ball in her honor. She asserts that Tico only wants to boost himself in society and get close to Jessica. Tico admits that he has ulterior motives, but not the motives that Viki suspects. He insists that he only wants to step out from under the cloud of his father's notorious reputation, and he wants to do something good for people. Even so, Viki reminds Tico that Jess is very much in love with Antonio.

In Puerto Rico, armed men tell Antonio to cooperate or he'll never see his Carlota alive again. They take him to another man who has Antonio submit his palm print. Afterward, the same man hands Antonio the Santi fortune in a suitcase (100 million dollars), but soon after, the armed men take the money away from him. When they return him to Carlota, he tells her that he was the only one with access to the fortune, and he doesn't understand why. Carlota replies, "When will this nightmare ever end?" One man tells Antonio and Carlota that it's time to say good-bye, and he orders another man to kill Antonio.

Nat tries confiding in Jess about the heist without actually going into detail. Jess tries to lend a comforting ear, but Nat takes offense when Jess tells her not to let Paul drag her down.

Kelly may as well own her own pharmacy. Again, she pops pills while she drinks at Rodi's. When she sees Duke, she assumes that Kevin sent him to Rodi's to spy on her. Duke assures her that he only wandered into Rodi's because he was lost, and he would never spy on her. Duke tells her that Kevin is wrong to take Ace away from her, and he wonders why Kevin always ends up hurting people who love him. When he gives Kelly a ride home, he's taken aback by another Cramer woman: Adriana. When she walks out in her bikini, he gives her a sleek eye, and she stops in her tracks, returning his stare.

Sonia sneaks into RJ's apartment and recovers some information from a CD. When RJ arrives home prematurely, Sonia sneaks out and takes the CD with her. Later, she returns as his visitor and returns the CD while he's fetching her a drink. However, RJ seems suspicious and asks her what she's doing.

Viki reads Todd the riot act for stealing Asa's mansion. She also scolds Blair for allowing him to cheat other people. She says, "Blair, so it's fine when he does this to other people? It's only when he lies and cheats and betrays YOU that it's wrong?!" Blair is speechless. As Viki leaves the house in a flurry, she tells Todd to prove to her that she wasn't wrong to think that he's finally changed and finally grown up. When she slams the door behind her, Todd and Blair look at each other like they've been caught with their hands in the cookie jar.
