One Life to Live Recap for the Week of August 22 - August 26, 2005

Viki wants to talk to Paige about the Chief of Staff position. Paige turns down the offer but considers to think about it. Viki reveals that she has to go to London to meet with a heart specialist – insisting that nothing is wrong and it’s just as a precaution. Layla meets up with Van at the Diner. Layla keeps on insisting that Van still has a thing for John. Van insists that she isn’t still in love with John. John overhears. Layla steps away to pay her lunch bill. John, again, thanks Van for her help in finding Nat. Van is glad to hear Nat is ok. John goes up to get his order. Carlotta praises John for saving Nat, John doesn’t want to hear praises as he blurts out that he isn’t the man everyone thinks he is. Layla overhears this and runs back to tell Van what she heard. Todd reveals that he thinks Margaret is back in town. Blair wants to call the police but Todd won’t let her, telling her that he will take care of Margaret. Blair reminds Todd that when he came back to town he didn’t want to be like Victor Lord, pointing out that Victor would irrationally kill someone without thinking of the consequences. Todd has someone escort Blair out. Todd thinks for a moment and then has the answer – he knows where Margaret is. Blair goes to the police station to find Bo, wherein she tells him that they have to stop Todd before he kills Margaret. Bo is shocked not even knowing Margaret was back. Margaret stumbles out of her apartment and makes her way to the clinic where she took Todd, when Todd had the fever. She meets up with the doctor, whom she paid to keep quiet, and begs him to save her baby. After a few tests the doctor determines that Margaret’s baby is fine. Todd shows up and sees the doctor, he wants to know where Margaret is. . .

John flashes back to when he promised Cristian he would keep his secret. John’s thought is interrupted by Mike. Mike tells John to chase after Nat, John knows its not that simple. Mike tells him to forget about his past, John isn’t thinking about the past – he’s thinking about Cris. Nat and Viki return home, Nat is surprised with a party of all her relatives. Nat sees Kevin and Kelly back together and is happy for them. Viki listens to Jess’ message and thinks the tone of her voice is weird. Rex tells Nat he thinks she should stay away from John. Nat asks why, Rex thinks Nat will get her heart broken by John. Van confronts Layla about John, saying that she doesn’t want to know any of John’s secrets. Layla promises to drop the whole John issue, Layla still thinks Van is in love with John. Dorian comes up with an idea for Craze but David thinks Dorian is up to something and won’t listen to her idea. Dorian claims she had many ideas for the magazine that she told Blair, Dorian goes to call Blair but Blair doesn’t answer. Blair pleads that Bo do something before Todd does something horrible, like killing Margaret. Bo can’t make a move until he sure Margaret is in town. Blair starts to think that Margaret actually stabbed Todd, Bo tells Blair not to worry as he’ll follow up on it. Todd threatens the doctor, wanting to know where Margaret is. The doctor tries to cover for Margaret but Todd knows she’s there. Margaret hears Todd’s voice and climbs out the window to avoid him. Todd bursts into the room just as Margaret jumps out the window. Todd sees the sonogram and knows it’s his kid. . .
