One Life to Live Recap for Wednesday, August 11, 2004

Nick, Hudson and Riley are practicing for the strip show as the girls cheer on. Riley is worried that the music chosen doesn’t fit. Hudson wonders why Mark isn’t there rehearsing with them. Nick says that Mark only dances for guys. Mark shows up and says he didn’t come out of the closet only to hide again and will dance for the show. Shannon brings the mail in and hands a letter to Marcie. Marcie reads it and takes off crying.

Dorian runs into Van at the diner. Van is concerned about Kelly. Dorian assures her that Kelly will be fine. Dorian goes to see Carlotta. Carlotta is worried about Adriana but more worried about Tico and Sonia bringing more members of the Santi family closer to Llanview. Dorian tells her not to worry about it.

Mike is at the police station to tell John that he got a look at the x-rays of the body found in the quarry and the man had a broken arm that was set with a newly designed plate that only could’ve been implanted a few months ago. John smiles because this is the first break in the case. Mike asks what’s really going on. John thanks Mike for the tip and sends him off. Van is also at the station getting the files from John’s DUI.

Jess is at Lion’s Heart to interview Sonia. Sonia gets an unexpected call from John telling her to get to the police station immediately. Angelina comes down to see what’s going on. Sonia tells Jess to wait for her. Jess begins to ask Angelina questions about Tico’s family. Angelina says that she tries to be like Tico’s mother, who was so respectful and gracious. Jess asks Angelina if she wants a drink.

Angelina says the sherry makes her confused and then confesses that she is afraid of Sonia and wants help getting out of the house.

The students are on break. Marcie is crying in Angel Square. Mike comes over to ask if she’s okay. Marcie admits that her novel was rejected again and goes to find the letter but it’s missing.

Nick finds the letter and reads it. He starts to laugh and make fun of Marcie again. Mark says he has a connection with a writer and wants to submit a copy of Marcie’s work. Nick laughs again. Mark punches Nick in the face. Jen runs to get a copy of the book. Mark will send it to the author on the way back to work.

Hudson and Julie are at the diner. Shannon comes over. Hudson says they would be better off if Shannon wouldn’t help them build anymore. Julie agrees. Hudson suggests they have a group meeting.

Adriana prays to God that she’s not pregnant. Adriana calls River but he has gone on an interview to Julliard. Tico comes over and tells Adriana not to think about River anymore and asks her out to lunch. Hesitant at first, she finally accepts the invitation. Adriana goes up to change as Tico calls a man named Juan, who is a big shot at Julliard, and tells him to make sure that River gets accepted.

The students meet at Angel Square. Mark tells Marcie that he submitted her story to another author. Marcie is objectionable at first but then thanks Mark. Nick admits that Mark hit him. The group decides that Shannon should stay back at the house and not some to the construction site anymore.

Angelina shows up at the diner. Carlotta is shocked to see her there. Angelina demands the truth from Carlotta.

Sonia shows up at the station to see John. John shows her a picture of a man and asks if she knows who it is. Sonia claims she’s never seen the man before. John asks why she is so buddy-buddy with R.J. all of a sudden. Sonia covers up saying they are both owners of a business and just got to talking. John still is skeptical of their relationship. Sonia asks if she can leave. John lets her leave and calls Van into his office. John tells her that R.J. is on his way over and will probably call them on their relationship. Van is ready to admit they are together as is John.

Dorian returns home just as Tico and Adriana do. Dorian is glad that Adriana left the house and tells her to go upstairs and rest. Adriana claims she is fine but goes upstairs anyway. Dorian thanks Tico for taking her out. Dorian answers the phone and explains to River that Adriana is sleeping. Tico grabs the phone from Dorian and tells River never to call her again. Dorian tells Tico that she can handle River. Tico leaves. Adriana comes back down. Dorian tells her that River has been accepted to Julliard and is leaving soon.

Tico returns home to find Jess there. Jess is still waiting for Sonia. Sonia arrives and is frantic because she can’t find Angelina. Jess says she took Angelina to see Carlotta. Sonia runs out in search of her. Tico is sorry for the way Sonia just took off without doing the interview. Jess tells Tico she wants to interview him about the new leader of the Santi organization, named “the Shark.”
