Fan Recap for One Life to Live

From Jennifer Cote, for About.com

Natalie and Jess discuss Cristian’s art exhibit opening at a gallery in Philadelphia. Jess tells Natalie how much she inspired Cris and Nat accuses Jess of thinking Paul is not good enough for her. Marcie and Michael have a heated argument about gay marriage and says she does not want to be around shallow people. They confront Nick, who tells Marcie “being gay is not a choice and neither is being fat!” Michael steps up (or rather, hobbles up) to Nick and reminds him that America was built on tolerance. Marcie says she will not tolerate intolerance – and she and Michael agree to disagree for the night after Michael states that he believes in the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman only. Daniel and Riley discuss their continued sobriety and Riley questions how Daniel and Nora’s relationship can work since they are colleagues. Daniel tells him that when a person finds a good thing, he should hang on to it. Riley’s thoughts turn to Jen. After questioning Marcie, Jen discovers that the bones found at the construction site have a tragic past – they belonged to 21 year old Amy Dunham, an engaged woman who was destined for an arranged marriage. Jen senses a strange connection to the name somehow.

John responds to a report of unusual activity at Capricorn and sees Sonia talking to RJ. He questions how the two schemers know each other. Evangeline happens to walk in and RJ accuses her of following John around like a “puppy on a leash”. Evangeline cools down after RJ’s remark when Nora meets her at Capricorn for dinner. Nora confesses that she and Daniel Colson are planning a weekend getaway. Nora realizes that she still has much to learn about Daniel, but is not shy when she meets Daniel at the police station later. Antonio and John walk in on a shirtless Daniel and Nora icing his injured shoulder. John tells Antonio that he thinks Sonia knows more than she is letting on to, and Antonio warns Jess to be careful in her upcoming interview with Sonia for the Banner-Sun. He also informs her that Tico has been less than truthful with her – he did meet his father before he died. John confides in Antonio that he and Evangeline are officially seeing each other.

Evangeline tells John she would like to take their relationship public. Natalie reads a letter from Viki, which states that Nat is welcome home anytime. Nat goes back to her apartment and finds Roxy there. They decide to go to the racetrack for old time’s sake and Nat tells Roxy she has to stop relying solely on luck in life. Jen hears strange noises and bumps into Julie in the hallway, who becomes flustered after Jen sees how much food she is bringing up to her room. Later Jen hears sobbing and after realizing it is not Julie, becomes terrified and runs into the arms of Riley. They start to kiss on the stairs. RJ decides to call in his favor from Sonia and enlists her help in an insurance scam involving the gallery. John tells Evangeline he is ready to go public with their relationship and as she is leaving, pulls her back into his room – just as a lonely Natalie is going up the stairs and sees the happy couple.
