One Life to Live Recap for Thursday, August 5, 2004

Nick goes to see Viki. Viki asks what he wants. Nick wants out of the project because he doesn’t want to be around Mark. Viki asks why. Nick gives the reason that Mark is gay. Viki tells Nick to talk to Roxy about getting another roommate. Nick will ask. Viki asks Nick how he felt before he found out Nick was gay. Nick leaves.

Roxy asks Mark why he’s not at the construction site. Mark says no one wants him around because now everyone knows he’s gay. Roxy tells him that it’s 2004 and people should be more open-minded.

Todd goes over the blueprints of Asa’s mansion and is convinced that he can get the house for his family. Blair asks how he’ll do that. Todd tells her he’ll find a way. Starr comes down and tells Todd that her two weeks of being grounded is up. The doorbell rings. Starr runs over to answer it; Travis is standing in the hall. Starr tells her parents that she and Travis are going for a walk. Blair tells them not to go far as they run off.

Kelly gets ready for her day in court. Dorian assures Kelly that they will get the baby back. Kelly is afraid if they do get the baby back Kevin will reveal the secret. Dorian tells Kelly not to worry about Kevin telling anyone about the secret. Adriana leads Van in to see Kelly. Van tells Kelly that the trial won’t be easy to sit through. Kelly tells her she’s ready.

Dorian asks Adriana if she’s okay. Adriana tells Dorian that she’s fine as she runs off to do a few errands.

Kevin tells Ace that the mansion is the only house he needs and Kevin is the only parent he’ll need.

Marcie is happy for Mark for finally coming out of the closet. Mark was tired off all the worrying he had to do to keep it a secret. Nick comes in and tells Roxy he wants another roommate. Roxy says no. Nick says he’s not sleeping in the same room with a gay man. Marcie tells Nick to back off. Roxy tells Nick that he has a choice, either stay in the garage or stay with Mark.

Judge Virginia Lowell presides over the court. Van steps up and tells about how wonderful a mother Kelly is and how deserving she is to have custody of Ace. Mr. Emerson, Kevin’s lawyer, begins to tell about what an unfit mother Kelly is and says Kevin should have custody of Ace. Both lawyers give wonderful presentations, but Judge Lowell rules in favor of Kelly and awards her custody. Kevin takes off. Asa tells Kelly that he’ll support her no more.

Todd is still looking at the plans for Asa’s house. He reminds Blair that she has a piece of property from the divorce decree. Blair knows about the land and tells Blair that it’s not even an acre and it houses manure. Todd says it’ll be enough to get the whole thing.

Starr and Travis go to see Viki. They plead their case and ask Viki to give Travis’ mom a job at Llanview University so Travis doesn’t have to go back to New York. Viki tells Travis to tell his mom to call her office. Travis thanks her. As they leave Dorian comes in. Viki asks what she needs. Dorian asks Viki to ask Kevin to stop the custody battle. Viki says that she and Kevin are no longer speaking.

Asa tells Kevin that he told Kelly off and is glad Todd and Blair are at odds. Kevin says Todd and Blair aren’t fighting. Asa tells Kevin that he saw Blair throw a drink at Todd. Kevin goes to see Todd and Blair to tell them that their plan won’t work. Todd says they are up to nothing and suggests Asa really is crazy.

Adriana is asking questions about being pregnant to Kelly. Kelly gets agitated and tells Adrian to stop. Adriana apologizes for asking so many questions. Kelly apologizes for yelling. Adriana runs upstairs. Kelly tells Ace that Kevin will never get him, even if she has to kill Kevin. While upstairs, Adriana takes out a home pregnancy test and begins to read the instructions.

Kevin returns to Asa’s mansion to assure Asa that Todd and Blair aren’t fighting. Asa is convinced that they are as he pours himself a drink of bourbon and walks out of the living room. Kevin picks up a full glass of bourbon that Asa had poured a few minutes before.
