One Life to Live Recap for Monday, August 2, 2004

Marcie’s plan to have the guys working on the Love Center project strip to make extra cash for the community center gets widely rejected – until Viki gives it her okay as long and they work together. Marcie and Ron’s brother Eric announces his engagement – which Ron is happy about until he finds out it is to another man! Mark overhears Marcie and Ron’s argument when Marcie sides with Eric.

While Kevin gives David the third degree about Kelly’s whereabouts, Kelly is in Boston bringing Ace to see his “grandmother” Melinda. Melinda senses that Ace is not really Kelly’s son and is confused because baby Ace resembles her son Paul so much. Dorian, who was flown to Boston by Paul, interrupts Melinda’s emotional breakdown as she tries to take the baby she thinks is Paul away from Kelly.

Jen re-discovers her sleepwalking problem after Riley tells her she crawled into bed with him last night and she has no memory of it. Jen said that as a child she used to do the same thing. Viki tells Marcie that the bones discovered at the construction site are from a young woman who died fifty years ago. Nora admits to Evangeline that she was put in an uncomfortable position after RJ asked her about Evangeline’s relationship with John. Nora asks what their relationship is and Evangeline is not sure how to describe it.

David sticks to his story about Kelly bringing Ace to a beachside resort after one of Kevin’s henchman tries to pay him off to tell the truth. David refuses but calls Dorian and tells her that Kelly and Ace must return to Llanview immediately or face legal consequences. Natalie gets a call from Paul who informs her that he is in Boston with Dorian to see his mother, Melinda. Jessica and Viki confront Natalie and Jessica accuses Natalie of not rescinding her proxy that she gave to Kevin so that Kevin would give Paul a job at B.E. Natalie storms out and goes to see Kevin, who informs her that he is looking for Kelly. Kevin becomes suspicious and thinks he may know where Kelly is when Natalie says that Paul has flown to Boston with Dorian.

The students rebuilding the Community Center find out that they only have 4 weeks to complete construction. Ron asks Mark how he feels about gay marriage and Mark is at a not sure how to answer, until later when he is inspired by Marcie’s argument with Ron and finds the courage to announce to the students that he is gay. Jessica tells Viki she does not trust Paul and thinks he is a gold digger. Viki invites Paul to have dinner with her the next night – just the two of them. Kevin returns to Dorian’s house where Kelly has just returned to with Ace. The police take Ace from Kelly and Kevin vows to bring his son Duke to Llanview to help run the family business, Buchanan Enterprises.
