Recap for July 18th – July 22nd

Mike shows up to see how Roxy is doing; Roxy hopes the Nat is found soon. Roxy thinks that Mike has a thing for Nat; Mike assures her that he is still in love with Marcie. Nora thanks Hugh for all his hard work, Hugh takes off to spend the night at U.V. Van storms in the station holding the note, John doesn’t want to be taken off the case. Bo explains that he has no choice, but after learning about Van’s note Bo goes against the mayor. Nora and Bo talk about them being able to work together. Nora knows they have to work well together and raise their son together. Bo and Nora share the same views on their relationship and start to mend their “business only” relationship. John and Van head to the alley only to find Layla, not the killer. Van explains that Layla is her sister. Layla came to Llanview to help her sister and wants to crash at her apartment. Van doesn’t think it’s such a good idea for Layla to stay with her, with the killer and all. John arrives at the station thanking Bo for backing him up to the mayor; Bo vows not to become the mayor’s scapegoat and wants to find the killer fast. Hayes arrives at U.V., Rex wants him out. Marcie explains that they are together for a business meeting. Marcie meets a few of Hayes’ clients and is immediately turned off by them. Marcie goes to make a call only to come back hearing the other writers making fun of her. Hugh and his date walk in. RJ shows up demanding to see the books, Rex knows he has money problems and just wants RJ to admit it. RJ tells him to mind his own business as he takes money from the register. Hugh catches a glimpse of the writers hackling Marcie and steps up to defend her, they all leave. Marcie keeps her eye on Hugh. Van tells Layla that she can move into her apartment; Layla can’t wait to hang out with her sis. Rex calls Antonio and wants to meet him somewhere to further propose plans to take down RJ. The killer stands outside Van’s door with another note. . .

Tess returns to Nash’s apartment with a group of partiers. Nash wants them out of his apartment, Tess kicks everyone out. Nash inquires about Jessica’s bracelet. Tess makes up a story about a twin sister who died, Nash feels sorry for her and they give in to temptation and share a kiss. Dr. Jamieson arrives at Capricorn; Antonio approaches him asking about Jess. Dr. Jamieson can’t reveal info about his patients but believes Jess is doing the right thing. Duke and Adriana take a swim together; they talk about how much they love each other and how fortunate they are to be together. A witness to Nat’s kidnapping comes forward, only to be realized that she is an old whacko in desperate need of attention, John decides to follow up on the witnesses story despite her “having tea with Jesus.” Marcie becomes inebriated and Hugh tries to stop her from drinking, Marcie continues to drink to the point where she can’t stand up. Hugh calls her a cab as she begins to vomit on his shoes. Van and Layla return to her apartment, Layla can’t wait to explore the Llanview nightlife so they head to U.V. Antonio arrives behind them, seeking to talk to Rex. Layla sets her eyes on Rex but Van deters her asking Antonio to dance with her. Duke and Adriana show up at U.V. Adriana asks about Nat and offers an ear to listen when Rex needs to talk, sensing that Adriana and Rex are becoming closer Duke steps in. The Killer breaks in and leaves a note for John. John gets a call about a breaking and entering at Van’s apartment; Van is also notified and heads to her place. John and Van find themselves in the midst of a rubble, the killer trashed her apartment. John finds the note, which is addressed to him. He opens it and it reads, “You want her bur I’ve got her”…
