One Life to Live Recap for Wednesday, July 14, 2004

Todd is talking with Margaret on the phone. Todd asks if Ace is okay. Margaret says that “Todd Jr.” is fine and wants to know when Todd is coming home. Todd tries to get the location of the house but fails. Kelly is upset. Todd remembers that Margaret has a mother and looks up the address in the phone book. Todd, Kelly and a detective take off to search for Margaret.

Margaret is cutting out pictures of herself, Todd and Ace and putting them in a collage. She holds a pair of scissors as she tells Ace to stop crying. Meanwhile, outside Todd, Kelly and a few cops are waiting. Todd goes to knock on the door to try to get Margaret to open it up. Finally, Margaret opens the door to allow Todd in. Todd pretends to be Margaret’s husband and tries to get a hold of the baby. Margaret lets Todd hold Ace. As she turns her back, Todd slips out with the baby and the cops go in and arrest Margaret.

Dorian blames Todd for ruining Kelly’s life. Viki says that Kelly isn’t that innocent. Kevin comes in with a copy of the paper and shows Viki the story that Starr and Travis wrote. Kevin is furious with Todd. Viki tells him to calm down. Dorian feels the same way about Todd. Kevin badmouths Kelly as Dorian defends her and puts down Kevin. Dorian apologizes to Viki and leaves. Kevin tells Viki that he’ll take care of Todd and storms off. Viki follows him.

John is talking with an F.B.I. agent to get information about Sonia. The agent will call John back. Jess enters his office and asks why Antonio isn’t back yet. John says that he’s probably bringing back Adriana from the convent school. Jess believes that Antonio stayed behind to make sure that Tico is whom he says he is.

Jess tells John how she found Tico in the vault. Van comes in to talk to John. Jess leaves. Van asks about Puerto Rico. John says they found the person who was responsible for putting a hit on Arthur and Kathryn. As they are talking Van knocks some files off of John’s desk. They pick them up and look into each other’s eyes. Van asks John to go out with her to meet some friends as Jess walks back in. John says maybe some other time. Van leaves.

Jess brought John the cloth she used to wipe Tico’s blood with. John thanks her and says he will run the tests. Jess tells John that she doesn’t want to see anyone else get hurt. John sorry he hurt Nat. Sonia runs in after hearing the shot. Antonio tells her to stay down as he runs out. Sonia asks what happened. Antonio and a cop come in with a man they believed shot through the window. The man identifies himself as Jamie Padilla’s nephew. Antonio tells the cop to get him out. Antonio tells them it’s not safe in Puerto Rico anymore. Sonia agrees and wants to take Tico back to Llanview. Antonio goes to make the arrangements. Tico asks Sonia what she thinks about his cousin.

Travis and Starr try to play around with more headlines but the codes have been changed.

Dorian is trying to reach Kelly with no success. Kevin comes in and asks where Todd is. Dorian tells him that Todd isn’t there. Kevin doesn’t believe her and calls for Todd. Viki comes in and tells Kevin that he has to calm down. Kevin asks why she always chooses Todd’s side over his. Kelly, Todd and Ace walk in. Kevin glares at Todd.

Dorian is so happy Margaret didn’t hurt Ace. Kevin asks what happened. Dorian tells him that Margaret took the baby. Kevin blames Todd for making Margaret go insane.

Todd tells Kevin to back off. Viki tries to get them to stop but fails. She begs Kevin to take Ace home and love him. Kevin can’t because he knows its Todd’s baby. Kelly says that she doesn’t need either of them and takes the baby upstairs. Dorian follows Kelly and asks Viki to get her family out of her house.

Kelly admits to Dorian that she is scared Kevin will use the kidnapping to take Ace away from her.

Viki tries to make peace between Kevin and Todd but has no luck. She goes to get a glass of water to take her medication. Todd asks Kevin how he feels to have everything taken away from him. Kevin looks at Todd with anger. Todd urges him on. Kevin pushes Todd on the couch and starts to hit him. Viki walks in and breaks them up. Viki starts yelling at Kevin saying that he’s not the man she knows him to be. Viki tells Kevin to go home. Kevin looks at Todd as he walks out the door…
