One Life to Live Recap for the week of May 22 - May 26, 2006

Paige goes to the police station to see Bo and tell him the truth. Spencer is there and stops her, Paige intends to tell Bo the whole truth. Spencer advises her against that, he checks his watch and says that he plans to attend the execution. Spencer leaves and Paige follows. Paige hightails it to the prison to tell Bo in time but she ends up getting into an accident. Blair is at home looking at photos of Todd, Dorian comes over to babysit Starr. Blair gives instructions not to let Starr watch tv or listen to the radio. Starr comes down and tells Blair to tell Todd that she loves him. Blair makes her way to the prison.

Adriana comes over to keep them company. Starr tells them that she wants to go down to the prison, Dorian refuses to let her go. Starr says that she is going and will take a cab if she has to. Dorian grabs her coat and offers to give her a ride. Van keeps trying the governor’s office and isn’t getting a response. Viki keeps praying that something will happen to keep Todd alive. Clint and Bo are there for support. Bo sees the picket lines getting out of hand and threatens to arrest everyone should they continue to be disorderly. Van gets a call from the governor, she reports to Viki that the governor declined the stay of execution. Viki breaks down in tears, Blair shows up and comes to terms with what is about to happen. She stays with Viki for support, Viki sees Dorian bring Starr into the crowd and can’t believe how brave Starr was for wanting to come. Blair sees Starr and wants her to go home, Starr is adamant about staying and tells Blair to let Todd know she’s there.

Todd is sitting in his cell, dreading what is about to happen. Andy shows up to explain how the execution will work and to give him advice about how to deal with his execution. Van shows up and tells Todd the bad news regarding the governor. Todd breaks down crying and thanks Van for everything she did. Van tells Todd that she should see Blair, Todd doesn’t want to see her – he tells Van that she is not to blame herself for what happened to him. Van leaves the cell in tears. Van is told to gather everyone into the viewing room, Van goes outside to tell everyone. Viki catches a glimpse of Hugh coming into the prison and just shakes her head as Bo escorts her into the prison. The warden goes to see Todd to explain how everything is going to work, after that Todd is put in shackles and lead into the execution chamber. Todd sees the table and freaks out as he is strapped onto it.

Blair, in tears, goes into the viewing room – followed by Ellen Foley and a few reporters. Van is lead into the room by Cris, Hugh runs into her and expresses his apology. Van doesn’t want to hear his sympathy as she turns her head. Bo leads Viki into the room and everyone takes their seats. Meanwhile, outside, Starr stands tall against the reporters. Starr sees Spencer going into the prison and can’t believe that he has the nerve to show up there. The warden enters the viewing room and explains the execution procedure. Van keeps waiting for her phone to ring for a last minute stay of execution. The curtain is opened and Todd is shown strapped to the table, ready to address the crowd. . .
