She calls out to Ben. What are you trying to tell me, darling? Have you died? Are you asking me to join you? Because if you are, I'm ready! The doorbell rings, she races back inside saying aloud that she thinks she's been ready for quite some time. As she heads to the door, Guide Dorian appears, telling her to stop that kind of talk and take her hand. There's something Viki has to see.

NO! I don't want to see anymore! I've already seen enough! Take my hand, Viki.
She does, and faces the scene of her family, this time blaming themselves for Viki's death. Each of them individually point out something they'd done that they felt caused Viki stress. Viki can't take it. She screams out that she loved her life, and would live it the same way if she had to do it all over again. Then she screams out, just stop it! All of you. Just let me die in peace!

She runs out the door, smack into Guide Todd. What did I tell you, Viki? You have to follow the clues, you can just run off and hide! She rushes past him and Dorian joins Todd in the doorway. What do you think she's going to do, Todd?
We'll just have to wait and see.
She rushes back into Llanfair, where she sees her family once again, this time it's Clint who tells her that she's reading things all wrong again. He reminds her t hat she has so much to live for, and Viki isn't convinced. She feels that there's not much fight in her. Clint asks her. "Didn't you hear Ben? Didn't he tell you to follow your heart?"

"Yes, and I think he wants me to join him."
"Did he tell you that?"
"He said ‘follow your heart', and he asked me to dance with him."
"Well, there you go! It doesn't sound like he wants to die to me! Here, take this, it belongs to you."
He hands her her wedding ring, and it is too small. When she mentions it, he impatiently tells her, "Now, see? There you go again, reading things all wrong. Sure it doesn't fit. It won't fit until you piece all the clues together. Now go!"

She clutches the ring, and heads inside. Her family has gathered again, this time with Asa in the group. He's telling Bo, over a glass of bourbon or something, that he thought Viki would do the right thing. Bo chimes in, saying that she was all Ben had left to hold on to, and it seemed that he just gave up holding on after holding on for so long. Asa says, "Viki killed my son Ben."

Horrified, Viki gets the message, and screams out as she runs out to the patio...

"Ben! BEN! Darling, I hear you! I'm not giving up! I'm here for you, darling!"

She looks down and puts her ring on her finger...it fits, and Ben calls out...

"Dance with me, Blondie."
"How can I dance with you? You're not here."
"Dance with me, Blondie. You'll know I'm there." And she does. She closes her eyes, stretches out her arms as if to embrace his shoulders, and she dances with her Doc. She dances right back onto her couch at Llanfair, where a panicked Jessica has been trying to awaken her for some time. Her eyes flutter open, to her daughter's relief, and Jessica says,
"Oh, MOM! Thank God!"
"Jessie? Is that really you? Are you here?"
"Yes, Mom, you were dreaming, and I..."
"Hello? Jess, are you in here? Oh, thank goodness you're awake!" Kevin's panicked words come flying out. Jess apologizes to Viki for panicking and calling Kevin. Viki says she doesn't want her children to worry. She's going to beat this thing. Jess mentions that she read the results of the angiogram, and Viki tells her not to conclude that it's the end of the world. Kevin asks what all of that means. Jess says plain and simple...She's not a candidate for a donor.

Viki begs her children to relax, have hope and please let her rest. She leaves, as if to go upstairs, but goes to Ben's hospital room instead. She tells him that she knows he was behind her dream, and she understands what he's trying to tell her.

She kisses his hand, then tears begin to form. She asks him to please give her some of his strength to help her hang on and be strong, because she's losing hers.
She breaks down into sobs and pleads with Ben to come back to her. Then she kisses him goodbye and turns to leave. She is stopped short by the brutal onset of another heart attack.
