Fan Recap for One Life to Live

From Richard Schwertfager

Jack is dropped off at Spencer’s office, Blair asks Spencer to watch Jack while she runs an errand. Cris and Layla are at Van’s house helping her out. Van asks Layla to retrieve notes and other books from her desk at work while Cris reads text out of law books to Van. Blair shows up, Cris goes into the kitchen to give them their privacy.

Blair just wanted to know if Van was still on Todd’s case. Van comes back with the sly remark – “somebody’s got to be on his side.” Blair “sees” her way out the door, Van knocks into something and bruises her shin. After Van refusing that she needs someone’s help she admits that she might need someone to check up on her. Blair returns to Spencer’s to pick up Jack. Blair is aggravated with the ways things went with Van, Jack goes outside to wait for Blair. Spencer hopes that Blair isn’t reverting to thinking Todd is innocent. Blair thinks Todd is guilty but shouldn’t die. Bo interrupts them and wants Duke’s release paper. Blair gives her sympathy to the family, Bo makes a comment about Nat not being in Llanview to hear about it. Spencer inquires about where she is. Bo tells him that she is in Thailand with John and inquires about why Spencer would care where John and Nat are.

David and Margaret are having dinner, David tells Margaret about what he did 25 years ago. Margaret wants to know how she can’t remember the horrible things that David claims she did. David doesn’t know but intends to find out. John and Nat arrive at their hotel, where John gets his hands on a gun (thru a friend). Nat begs him not to go after David with the intent to kill him. John assures her that he just wants to find out where David is. John takes off and gets a lead on David – he finds out that David was in prison but the charges were dropped. Nat wants John to forget about David and gets some sleep. John says that he has to find David tonight. John leaves the room and goes to an elevator, inside the elevator he sees Denton but the elevator takes off before John can get to Denton. . .

Cris holds the ice on Van’s shin when she gets a phone call. Van answers the phone and Todd is on the other line. Todd tells Van that he wants her to concentrate on herself, not him – in essence Todd is firing Van. Van won’t take no for an answer and calls a taxi to take her down to the jail. Van tells Cris to stay behind, she wants to do it on her own. Layla comes home and finds out Cris let Van go by herself and is less than thrilled about Van wandering around. Cris makes her realize that Van needs to learn to deal with her blindness.

Van goes to see Todd, Todd thinks Van didn’t deserve what happened to her. Van explains that she is not letting him fire her, Todd agrees to let her stay on his case. Van thinks the only way they can get the conviction overturned is if they concentrate on Spencer’s involvement. Mike runs into Paige in the hallway, Paige apologizes for what she did but Mike is furious with her and wants nothing to do with her anymore. Starr and Rickie are brought down to the police station and threatened to be put in jail, Starr wants to make a phone call. Bo asks Spencer why he cares where John is, Spencer shrugs his shoulders and says that he really doesn’t care where John is. Blair calls him on it, saying that he looks as white as a ghost and wonders if something else is wrong. Spencer assures her that nothing is wrong. Blair gets a call from Starr saying that she’s at the station, Bo gives Blair a ride to the station.
