One Life to Live Recap for the week of May 8 - May 12, 2006

Cris is taking car of Antonio, who is somewhat conscious now. Tess comes in to see how he is doing, Antonio mistakes her for Jess and kisses her. He apologizes after learning he kissed Tess, Tess admits that Jess didn’t come out – she just made him think that she was Jess so that he would want to live. Antonio understands why she did that and explains that he doesn’t want to see Tess leave. Tess leaves, Cris follows her and makes her see that Antonio is not trying to destroy her and Nash but rather find out the truth. Tess goes to get the baby and brings her in to see Antonio. John goes to check up on Nat and tells of his plans to go to Thailand. Nat doesn’t think it’s a good idea for him to go, fearing that he will do something that will get him into trouble. John tells her that he’s going regardless of what she says. Nat tells him that if he goes, she won’t be there waiting for him when he gets back. John makes her see that he has to go to Thailand and find David, John storms out of the room.

Rex called that police and they begin to search his apartment. Adriana still feels creped out when Rex touches her. Rex tries to make her see that everything will be ok, Adriana thinks her stalker is just playing game with her until he snaps and really hurts her. Adriana runs out of the apartment, Rex follows her and they end up at the docks. Rex explains that they are at the place he fell in love with her. Adriana doesn’t want to talk about it, her mind is set on one thing – her stalker. Rex gets her to laugh by saying he’ll jump into the water half-naked, Rex leans in for a kiss but takes a swan-dive into the river. Kevin follows as Duke and Kelly are wheeled into the hospital on gurneys. Clint is there to meet Kevin, Kevin explains that Duke and Kelly must’ve been having sex when the roof collapsed on them. Clint tries to figure out why Duke would betray his father, Kevin tells Clint what he said to Kelly the night of their fight. Dorian is still concerned about not being able to reach Kelly or Adriana. Viki calms her down, each share genuine concern for the others family. Clint finds Dorian and Viki and tells them about Kelly and Duke. All of them rush to the ER, Spencer hurriedly checks out Kelly as Mike checks out Duke. Both Kelly and Duke are in critical condition, each coding on the operating table. Spencer tells Kevin that there is an experiment procedure, that only he has successfully performed before, that would save either Duke or Kelly. Kevin doesn’t understand what Spencer means, Spencer explains that he is the only person qualified to perform the long and arduous procedure, by the time he would finish one patient the other would be dead. Spencer tells Kevin, who is listed as next of kin for both Kelly and Duke, he has to choose which one to save. Kevin laments over the decision for a while and ultimately decides that Spencer should operate on Kelly. . .
