One Life to Live Recap for the week of April 17 - April 21, 2006

John apologizes for almost taking Nat out with a bottle. Nat wants to know why John will not let her help him find his fathers killer. John explains that this is something he has to do, he doesn’t want any help. Vince calls Nat and set up a meeting with her. John cleans up some broken glass and Nat sees that he has a cut. Nat cleans up John’s cut, John goes in for a kiss but then backs off. Rex is trying to get a hold of Adriana but she doesn’t answer the phone. Rex leaves a lengthy message to explain his actions. Adriana calls Layla for some girl talk, wherein Layla convinces Adriana to go out with her to get her mind off of Rex. Van doesn’t know why Cris is thanking her, Cris explains that Van was his inspiration to move on. They talk for a while longer until they are interrupted by Layla and Adriana. Layla convinces them both to go out with them, Van goes with them but Cris stays behind. Cris packs all of the painting of Nat he did and sends them to her.

Kelly calls Kevin to remind him of their dinner date. Kevin, who is drunk, tells Kelly to eat without him. Duke confronts Kevin about his drinking, Kevin doesn’t want to hear anything from Duke. Duke tells Kevin that he would be better for Kelly, Kevin can’t believe that his son is talking to him like that. Duke storms out of Kevin office, Kevin polishes off a bottle of scotch and then goes after Duke. Kelly sees a mother having trouble with her son, she offers to hold the baby. Kelly has the baby in her arms and realizes that a baby is what she wants. Hugh sees her and goes to talk with her. Hugh explains that, if she can’t have a baby with Kevin, there are other ways to start a family. Kelly turns around and walks, literally, into Duke. Kevin happens to see them standing close together and yells at Duke to get away from his wife.

Hugh breaks them up before they can start fighting. Matt overhears a doctor telling RJ that Nora might not be well enough to make it out of the coma. RJ goes in to talk with Nora, Rex runs into Matt and lifts up his spirits by reassuring him that Nora will be ok. Rex goes in search of Adriana and finds her with Layla and Van at Rodi’s. When Rex sits with her, Adriana gets up to leave. Rex goes with her, catches up with her kisses her and explains why he didn’t tell her about Todd. Before Adriana can react Rex takes off. Cris joins Van and Layla, Layla thinks there is something going on between Cris and Van. RJ talks to Nora about what she’s been missing. Matt comes in to take over, RJ leaves. Matt tells Nora about his baseball game, Nora opens her eyes and her shoulders begin to twitch. . .

Duke shows up at Llanfare looking for Kevin, he runs in to Tess and they begin to talk about how to keep the loves of their lives. Nash interrupts them, Duke takes off. Tess doesn’t want Jess coming out before the birth of her baby so she wants to induce labor by having sex with Nash. Nash turns her down but suggests an even better idea – Nash asks Tess to marry him, that way their baby can be born into their family. Tess turns him down, saying that she doesn’t have an proof that she isn’t Jessica. Nash tells her that he’s thought of a way around it and leaves – promising to return soon. Daryl calls Dorian to report that he’s got an interview with Rex. Kelly comes in, she and Dorian talk about their relationships. Dorian slips and says that she knows about Duke’s feelings for her, Kelly accuses Dorian of seeing Clint just to get info out of him. Dorian explains that she overheard Kevin and Duke arguing. Dorian reveals that it’s breaking her heart to see all of her “girls” in so much pain. Kelly thanks her for being sincere and heads to BE for a meeting.

Meanwhile, Rex is so preoccupied with Adriana that he just gives Daryl a job – without interviewing him. Adriana almost sees him, but Daryl takes off before she can. Rex catches Hugh and Adriana together, Hugh was questioning Adriana about what Rex really knew about Todd. Rex tries to apologize but Adriana wants nothing to do with him now. Rex tells her that the only reason he did what he did was because he didn’t want another death on his hands. Adriana admits that she failed to realize the memories of Jen that must’ve been brought up. Adriana tries to talk to him but Rex takes off. Daryl reports to Dorian that he got a job at UV and she will be the first to know if Rex and Adriana get back together. Clint catches Kevin shaving in his office.
