Todd enlists a homeless man, after leaning about Spencer’s award, to help him get Van out of jail. Blair makes plans for her and the kids to go skiing, Starr says that she won’t go if Spencer goes. Blair explains that the trip is for the family, just to get away and have a good time. Spencer stops in to see Blair, Blair feels a little uncomfortable with Spencer there and promises to reconsider their relationship once she finds out what’s going on with Todd. Blair suggests they don’t see each other at all. John makes a trip down to see Van, Van is glad to see him. Cris followed John down so he too could see Van. Hugh shows up and chastises Cris and John for visiting Van. Cris wants Van to be freed, Hugh won’t budge until Van spills what she knows. Van claims she doesn’t know anything. John gets called back upstairs, Van kicks herself for what she did. Van and Cris talk, Cris reminds Van that he is there if she needs to talk. Van knows that Hugh can’t prove anything, if he does she will be disbarred. Van thanks Cris for being there for her. Ed chases down the homeless man Todd “hired”, he runs into John. Ed gives John a note that homeless man gave him – from Todd. John reads the letter – Todd pleads for John to help Van, while he proves his innocence. Hugh overhears Todd’s name and butts in. John explains that he was talking to Ed and walks out. Ed concurs with John’s story. The homeless man returns to Todd and tells him that he delivered the letter. Todd finds a pair of scrubs in the garbage and sneaks into the hospital. Tess shows up at the vineyard, Nash tells her that he sold it. Tess asks him to reconsider selling, Nash explains that selling would make his life more simple. Nash doesn’t want to leave her, just had to get away for a little while. Nash explains that he doesn’t need the vineyard, he only needs her. Tess feels that he is the baby’s father. David goes to see Paige, knowing that something is wrong he tries to coax it out of her. Paige tells David that Spencer killed Margaret. David gets confused – Paige tells David that Margaret didn’t die in the lake and delivered the baby. David still doesn’t believe her, Paige reveals that she delivered the baby herself. David begins to believe it, Paige tells her about the baseball bat and the documents Spencer forged to implicate her and Bo. David believes that Margaret is still alive somewhere, Paige knows Margaret is dead. Margaret sits on a tropical island with her baby, sipping a tropical drink. . .

Mike, who is late, meets Marcie to talk about the wedding. They quarrel about when to have the wedding, who to have at the wedding and what to eat at the wedding. Renee suggests they use the same menu as the party for Spencer, Mike is ok with the idea. Renee helps Mike try to decide what to have at their wedding. Mike can’t make up his mind about anything, Marcie points this out and Mike says that he wants to make the planning as easy as possible and whatever Marcie wants she should get. Mike and Marcie fight about his attending Spencer’s ceremony. Cris and John gang up on Hugh to let Van out, Nat sees them going to bat for Van and becomes jealous. Hugh reveals that he let Blair go down to see Van, so she can get info out of Van and report back to him. Cris and John concoct a plan to help Van, Ed Crosby comes in to tell John that his badge has been reinstated – but he isn’t until Ed’s report is filed. Ed won’t file a report until John talks about his dad. John begins to have flashbacks of the night his father died, he doesn’t want to talk about it. Ed wants to know what happened, John apologizes to his father. Ed asks why John is apologizing to his father. John feels guilty about not doing anything to avenge his father’s death. Blair tries to get Van to confess to harboring Todd, Van doesn’t say she did but implies that Todd is innocent and believes Spencer did it. Blair is convinced Todd is guilty. Van slips and tells Blair she saw Todd, Hugh comes down and Blair tells Hugh she is going out of town with the kids – just in case Todd shows up. Hugh has no choice but to let Van go. Van thanks Blair for not telling on her, Blair knows Van was sucked into Todd’s web of lies and hopes she comes to her senses. Hugh brings Van upstairs, she runs into Cris and thanks him for inspiring her to make it thru the night.
