Kelly is rereading the note she left for Duke. Kevin comes in, Kelly cleverly hides the note from him. He goes up to take a shower, Kelly throws the note in the fireplace and plans to burn it – Kevin comes back downstairs to grab a beer. Kelly starts the note on fire and goes into the kitchen to cook. Curiousity wins Kevin over and he slips his hand into the fire to retrieve a portion of the note that’s still intact. He can only make out – “please don’t tell your father, it will kill him.” Todd is startled by the jingling keys and tries not to make a move. Lindsay enters the storeroom looking for a painting. She hears a noise and catches a glimpse of Todd in a mirror. RJ calls her and she tells him that she’ll meet him at the gym. Dorian hires a new assistant – named Dorian and is forced to change his name – for Craze. Dorian finds out that Rex and Adriana are sharing a room together and sends out “Darren” to find Duke. Darren brings Duke back, Dorian fails in her attempt to get Duke to go after Adriana. Darren overhears Dorian scheming up a plan to break up Rex and Adriana. Darren uses this information to blackmail Dorian – he keeps his mouth shut as long as he has a job. Rex moves into the hotel room, Adriana is noticeably nervous but calms down once Rex makes himself comfortable. They share a romantic evening together – dining on room service, drinking champagne and eating by candlelight. Cris is getting ready for his next fight, against “Punchin Pat” – a boxer from Philadelphia. Nat shows up to see him fighting – she brings a whole fan club which consists of Marcie, Mike, Roxy and Carlotta. RJ, to everyone’s surprise, shows up only to bet against Cris and mock him in front of Carlotta. Lindsay shows up and tells RJ about Todd being in her warehouse, they leave for the police station. Cris, in a very dramatic showing, knocks out Punchin Pat. John presses Van about the whereabouts of Todd, Van claims that she doesn’t know. Hugh overhears them talking about Todd and misconceived that Van knows where Todd is. John defends Van, Hugh is called away from the conversation. Van leaves to go see Todd, RJ shows up and makes a deal with Hugh – drop the smuggling charges and RJ will reveal the whereabouts of Todd. Hugh accepts the deal, John calls Van to warn her that Hugh is on his way. Van goes to see Todd, Todd tells her that Lindsay was there but didn’t see him. Van wants to move him while Todd wants to stay. Hugh shows up there with half of the Llanview police department, hoping to bring Todd in. . .

Viki and Clint return to the Hot Spot and meet resistance from Sam, the owner. Sam promises that if he sees Niki around, he’ll give them a call. A girl named Rose, Sam’s daughter, claims that she has some information they might want to hear. Todd escapes and seeks refuge in the Lord mausoleum. Todd chastises his father for passing on his evil traits. Todd vows, to his father, that he will find out what happened to Margaret. Tess makes a surprise visit to the mausoleum and finds Todd there. Tess wants to call the police but Todd get her to change her mind. Tess tells him that she’s leaving town, Todd asks about Nash. Tess reveals that Nash left her, Todd gets her to see that she still loves Nash – Tess agrees to go find Nash and work things out with him. Rex and Adriana are interrupted as they begin to make love. The hotel security bursts into their room, claiming they found drugs in Rex’s old room. The owner of the hotel searches through Rex’s bag and “finds” more drugs. He wants to throw Rex out and Adriana wants to follow him but Giovanni shows up and tells Adriana she has to stay put. Rex tells her that he’ll be fine and wants her to stay. The owner of the hotel calls Dorian and tells her what he did, Dorian is pleased that her plan to rid Adriana of Rex has begun. Blair stops by to see Dorian, after learning that Dorian let Adriana to go NYC alone with Rex. Dorian claims that she is going to stop meddling in “her girls’” lives. Blair doesn’t believe her, Dorian assures her that it’s true.
