Paige goes to see Bo, who isn’t in his office. She calls Spencer, leaving a message saying that she plans to turn him in. Bo shows up and is glad to see Paige, saying that her last phone call was a little disturbing. Paige apologizes, Bo gives her a Valentine’s Day gift and they profess their love for one another. Kevin catches Kelly doing a little remodeling, with a sledgehammer. Kevin takes the hammer away from her, Kelly explains that she wanted a little change in the apartment. Kevin thinks she’s only doing it to take out her frustrations about not being able to have a family. Kelly insists that that isn’t the reason. Nat tells Crosby that she thinks something bad will happen to John, Crosby thinks that John brings his own back luck onto himself. Nat has this unnerving feeling that something will go wrong, not because of John but because of Todd. John goes to Statesville to get Todd, Todd demands to call Van. John lets him call her, but Todd gets Van’s voicemail and leaves a message. John is getting ready to board the plane, after Todd is led onboard in shackles, Nat shows up and warns John about not going. John says he has to go to get his job back, promising that he will be ok. Cris catches Van at UV and wonders why she doesn’t have a date. Van doesn’t want to discuss her personal life, neither does Cris. They talk about sports and enjoy the performance from Lifehouse. Blair and Spencer go to UV for the Lifehouse performance. Blair apologizes again for using Spencer, saying that she is still in love with Todd and probably will be forever. Spencer understands that she needs time to get over Todd, Denton shows up and asks Blair for his job back. Spencer throws him out, Blair goes to the bathroom, Spencer calls Denton and tells him to leave Llanview. Adriana also shows up at UV, she sees Rex and plans to stay for the performance. Rex sees Denton and goes after him. Mike keeps getting interrupted in his attempts to pop the question. He comes up with a plan and enlists Rex to help him. Lifehouse begins to play their hit single “You and Me” while Mike and Marcie start to dance. Mike turns Marcie towards the monitor where it reads “Marcie Walsh, will you marry me?” …

Marcie takes one look at the ring and rejects Mike’s proposal. Mike refuses to take no for an answer, Marcie is scared that they don’t have enough money and says that it isn’t the right time for them to get married. Mike gets down on one knee, with everyone watching him, and proposes again. Marcie, this time, accepts. Nash and Jess find a cabin to hide out in, Tess confronts Nash about being in love with Jessica. Nash explains that he felt bad for Jessica, that’s the only reason he was helping her out. Tess doesn’t buy what he’s saying. Nash explains that he feel in love with Tess, not Jess, and his feelings about Tess will never change. Tess apologizes for doubting him, Nash wants to call Clint but Tess doesn’t want him to – for fear that he will take her away form Nash. Nash holds off on calling Clint, but tells Tess they have to call in the morning. Spencer brings Blair home, Starr is there waiting for them. Immediately she starts asking questions about Todd. Spencer makes sure that Jack is tucked in and then leaves Blair and Starr to talk. Starr can’t believe that her own mother did tell her that her father wasn’t going to appeal. Blair apologizes, Starr accuses Blair of not loving Todd anymore. Blair claims that she will always love Todd, Starr gets snotty and retorts with “You’re lying, I can see it in your eyes. You’re with Spencer, you’ve moved on. You b****!” To which Blair slaps her across the face and tells her she believes Todd is guilty. Starr storms up to her room.
