One Life to Live Recap for Monday, January 31, 2005

Todd watches Jack and Starr plead their case on TV. Todd tires to break free from his restraints but accidentally knocks over a chair with a blanket on it. The blanket covers the heater and bursts into flames.

Riley is singing a song dedicated to Jen. Jen overhears and tells him that it’s a sweet song. Riley and Jen share a kiss and begin to make out. Rex enters his club and sees them making out. Jen asks him why he’s out of jail. Rex says that the charges were dropped and he’s a free man. Jen is happy for him while Riley still thinks that Rex killed Paul. Rex admits that he did a lot of thinking in the cell and figured out that he still loves Jen and will do whatever it takes to get her. Riley says that Jen is with him now. Jen tells Rex that she loves and is with Riley now. Rex throws Riley out of his club and a fight ensues between them.

Margaret shows up at Dorian’s house and seeks information from Starr about where Blair is. Starr wants to know where Todd is. Margaret tried to tell her that she and Todd ran away together. Starr doesn’t believe it. Margaret tries to kidnap Starr but she wriggles free and sets off a panic alarm. Margaret tells Starr that she will be sorry because she can make Todd suffer. Margaret runs off.

Asa is holding Ace and telling him what high hopes he has for the little kid. Kevin comes in and is happy to see Asa smiling. Asa wants a guarantee that they won’t lose Ace again. Kevin can’t guarantee it but is working on it. Asa believes that the judge will see that Kevin is the right person to raise the child. Kevin admits that he is starting to realize that pain that he has caused people by taking Ace back.

Blair stumbles upon a cabin. She bangs on the door but it yields no response. Just as she is about to give up, the doors open revealing a person appearing to be Mrs. Bigelow. The lady introduces herself as Hazel, and suggests that everyone in the world has a twin. Blair tells Hazel about how Margaret kidnapped Todd and she believes that Todd is being held in one of the cabins. Hazel suggests she check on an old abandoned cabin just up the road. Blair thanks her and leaves for the cabin. Hazel puts on a pair of glasses that resemble Mrs. Bigelow’s frames and tells Blair that Todd needs her more than ever now.

Jess reveals that she saw Antonio pulling the plug on Tico. Antonio is adamant about saying that he is innocent and that Jess was heavily drugged up. John asks Jess to make sure that she is 100% positive that she saw Antonio pull the plug. Jess is sure it was him and apologizes to Antonio. Cris yells at Jess to take her statement back because he knows Antonio didn’t do it. John leaves to search Antonio’s apartment and car. Antonio tells Jess that he will deal with this because he is innocent. Jess is sorry that she had to say anything. Cris storms out saying that Antonio is innocent. Nat is worried about Cris. Antonio reassures her saying that Cris can take care of himself.

Mike and Marcie are having lunch. Marcie is happy that Mike is off the hook for the murder of Tico. Mike believes that his reputation as a doctor was tarnished and won’t be back to work anytime soon. John shows up and tells Mike that Jess has identified Antonio as the killer. Mike thanks John for telling him. John heads to Antonio’s apartment. Mike doesn’t believe that Antonio killed Tico. Marcie doesn’t really know who to believe.

Cris shows up at church and sees Father Greg. Father Greg talks with Cris. Cris tries to get him to see that he is a different person and someone is controlling his mind. Fr. Greg tells him that he is his own man, a good man, and isn’t controlled by anyone else. Cris admits that he bought a gun and is being told to kill someone else. Fr. Greg tells him that no one can make him kill anyone. Cris admits that he killed Tico and has to kill someone else he loves. Fr. Greg wants Cris to turn himself in. Cris pulls a gun on Fr. Greg but quickly hands it over and runs off.

John returns to Llanfare. Antonio asks what he found in his apartment. John shows that he found a pair of latex gloves under his sink.

Blair arrives at the cabin to see that it is on fire. She calls for Todd. Todd is still tied to the bed, a little dazed from the fumes. Blair calls for Todd but receives no answer. She tries to open the door but it is locked. Blair kicks down the door and sees Todd passed out, tied to the bed. . . . .
