One Life to Live Recap for Thursday, January 13, 2005

Cris is at the chapel. A priest who just found out about Cris’ return to Llanview interrupts him. Cris admits that he is not the same man he was before he left and begins to ask God for forgiveness for what he’s done. Carlotta, who just arrived, asks Cris what he needs to be forgiven for. Cris tells Carlotta that he is thinking of leaving Llanview. Carlotta begs him not leave because she just got him back. Cris thinks that it’s the only way to keep the ones he loves safe. Carlotta tells him that she does see something different in his eyes, but before long he’ll be the same man he was before he left.

John is going over Cris’ files. Nora comes in to bring him coffee. John updates her about the latex found at the scene. John has an idea and calls the manufacturer of the gloves. John finds out that the gloves are not made anymore. Nora asks if that’s a problem. John admits that he has the same type of gloves at home. Nora tells him that anyone could’ve broken into his apartment and taken a pair. John thanks her for her optimism. Nora explains that she is going to see Van and asks if John wants to tell her anything. John tells Nora that he’ll see Van later. Nora offers advice warning him not to let work get in the way.

Blair and Viki are discussing the whereabouts of Todd. Blair is convinced that Margaret has Todd someplace. Viki remembers that Margaret is the one who kidnapped Ace last year. Meanwhile, Van and Antonio are talking about his alibi. Antonio says that he has no alibi. Van tells him not to rely on her for any more inside information. Antonio tells her that he’ll go after Tico’s killer himself because he feels that whoever killed Tico is after Jess. As Antonio is leaving, Viki pulls him aside. Antonio pressures Viki into going to tell the cops. Viki promises that she’ll go to them immediately. Viki is afraid for Jess and wonders if Antonio knows how to prevent anything else from happening.

Margaret tells Todd that the search for him has been called off. Todd tries to get her to see that Blair or Mrs. Bigelow would never stop looking for him. Margaret tells him that Mrs. Bigelow isn’t a problem anymore as she takes out the papers Mrs. Bigelow had and begins to burn them. Margaret says that it’s time to make their baby. Todd tells her that he’ll never have sex with her. Margaret grabs her gun and tells him that she’ll be right back. Todd yells at her to stay away from Blair. Todd begins to tell himself that he needs to get out of there and get back to Blair. He tries to chew through the ropes but has no luck.

Jess and Nat are at home. Nat didn’t get to sleep because Cris was having nightmares again. Nat tells Jess that Cris doesn’t want to confide in her anymore. Jess, knowing how she feels, tries to sympathize with her saying that she and Antonio were the same way but it’s different because Nat and Cris are married. Antonio comes in. Nat leaves to look for Cris. Antonio tells Jess that he is staying at Llanfare until he finds out who trashed her room. Jess is adamant about not having Antonio stay there. Viki interrupts by saying that she feels it’s a good idea that Antonio stays. Jess is confident that Cris is the person who’s been trashing her room and he is also responsible for cutting the cables on the elevator. Nat is eavesdropping at the front door.

Marcie and Hayes discuss her first interview. Marcie is excited. Hayes is still trying to convince Marcie to have the liposuction. Mike barges in and tells Marcie not to do it. Hayes, feeling that Mike has no say in it, tells Mike to leave them alone. Marcie admits that she on her way to her first interview. Mike is happy for her but is interrupted by a call from John. John tells Mike to get to the police station as soon as he can. Mike wishes Marcie good luck and leaves for the station.

Blair shows up at Margaret’s apartment and demands to be let in. Margaret opens the door. Blair wants to know where Todd is. Margaret says that she hasn’t seen Todd since before the wedding. Blair looks around a little more and notices a few weeks worth of unopened mail. Blair asks Margaret if she’s been out of town. Margaret tells Blair to leave or she’ll call the police. Blair dares Margaret to call. Margaret turns to the phone, but grabs her purse and pulls a gun out.

Nora arrives to meet Van. Nora shows Van her ring. Van is jealous. Nora didn’t even think that Dan was thinking about marriage. Van is happy for Nora. Nora asks Van how John is. Van admits that she cannot emotionally be with John and that is what she needs from him.
