REFLECTIONS BY JILL for December 18, 2006

From

Obviously, Dorian can’t help herself from interfering in Adriana’s life. Maybe if she just left her alone for a while she’d give Adriana a chance to calm down and eventually they could make some kind of peace. Honestly, I don’t blame Adriana for not wanting to deal with Dorian. Even though Adriana acts childish sometimes, I agreed with her when she was at Dorian’s house and Dorian asked her if she still loves her just a little bit and Adriana said, “How can I love someone that I can’t trust?” That just about says it all for me. It is nice to see that Adriana still has some compassion because she does admit that when Dorian begs her to be close to her again she feels sorry for her. Adriana will only deal with Dorian in her own time and forgiveness, if it comes, will be hard to give.

And now Dorian thinks that by putting up all that money to invest in Adriana’s company she’s going to get back on her daughter’s good side. She certainly wasn’t bothered by Rex confronting her about it and telling her she’s going to cause more trouble with Adriana by doing that. And I had to laugh because Dorian had just finished telling Kelly that she has learned that you can’t go through life thinking you can’t control life no matter how much you want to our how much money you spend. Hmmm, short memory.

I love Christmas as Llanfair. Of course it’s never the same when some of Viki’s kids are away from home. It was nice that Viki told Nash that he was welcome to stay when he came by with Jessica and Bree and even nicer that Clint made Nash a part of things by having him help decorate the tree. It is so obvious that Jessica is trying to fight her emotions where Nash is concerned. It was nice of her to be worried that he didn’t have his place decorated for Christmas, but Nash sure hit the nail on the head when he told her that she was going overboard to make sure he had a Christmas because she felt guilty that he couldn’t have Tess. Jessica can deny it all she wants, but she wants Nash and she just won’t face the fact that her feelings are all over the place.

Claudia also hit Jessica right between the eyes when Jessica told her Nash was off limits to her and Claudia said she just wants to keep Nash for herself, just in case things don’t work out with Antonio. I don’t think Jessica’s motives are quite that sinister, but I sure do think that it’s a situation where if she can’t have Nash, no one else can. She can’t (at this time) admit that she wants him, but she’s very possessive of him nevertheless. She can’t let him go. It’s that simple. And once again, I give Antonio a lot of credit because he’s putting up with Jessica giving Nash a lot of attention. Antonio probably feels that now that he’s married to Jess he can afford to be decent to Nash. He feels secure that Jess loves him and wants to be with him, but does he also feel a bit insecure and just doesn’t want to rock the boat? I don’t think that Cristian is right when it comes to his feelings that Nash is trying to move in on Jessica. I think Antonio should be more worried about the fact that Jessica is so attached to Nash and is so concerned with what he does with his life. Nash hasn’t made it a secret that he has always wanted Tess back and he’s just starting to realize that he has real feelings for Jessica, but as unhappy as he is, he’s not trying to sabotage Jessica’s marriage. I think she’s going to do that all by herself. Trying to set up Nash and Layla was ridiculous since Jess doesn’t even really know Layla and popped up on her doorstep to drag her on the date. Nash and Layla gave Jess a real run for her money by pretending they were hitting it off and Jess didn’t like it one bit. No surprise there.

Claudia will be leaving Llanview in a couple of weeks and I can’t say I’m sorry. I don’t see anywhere that she could have fit it and now that she’s drinking again, I hope she gets herself back into rehab and settles somewhere else when she’s well again. Antonio certainly was nice to her when he told her he wouldn’t fire her. He’s been nicer to her than she deserves.
