REFLECTIONS BY JILL for November 26, 2007

From Jill Berry, for About.com

What a hysterical fiasco! Nora and Clint cozy up for a kiss that doesn’t seem to want to quit. Dorian walks into the stables just in time to witness the whole thing. David intercepts Dorian while she’s in the throes of devastation over seeing Clint and Nora in a clinch and they fall into bed together. And to top it off, Clint walks in on Dorian and David after they have done the deed and are naked in bed. Does it get any better than this?

Yes, it does get better than this because just when I think the lunacy is over, Dorian, with no shame at all, parades into the living room at the ranch in her decadent red silk sheet with the strap of what little she has on underneath hanging off her shoulder, while the family looks on and she doesn’t even care. Oh Dorian, the queen of propriety, how low you have sunk! I couldn’t believe she stormed in and called Nora a Jezebel in front of everyone, including Matthew. I guess Nora had to send Matthew out of the room, but do they think that kid doesn’t know what’s going on? He already thinks his mom and Clint have something going on. Dorian had the nerve to accuse Nora of taking advantage of Clint while he’s grieving the loss of Asa. Give me a break, Dorian. Asa is probably cheering on Clint from the Great Beyond for getting action from two women at the same time.

Of course Dorian would immediately think that Clint was sleeping with Nora. She’d never wait and demand an explanation before retaliating. And let’s not forget Clint. If I weren’t a lady, I’d tell you what I now call Clint. Oh what the heck, I’ll tell you anyway. This guy is nothing but an aging horn ball. Sorry! LOL! It’s bad enough that he tells Dorian one day that he is in love with her and the next day he’s kissing Nora. But then he has the nerve to tell Nora that as much as he is attracted to her, he has told Dorian that he loves her and he has to try to make it work with her. WHAT????? I am so thrilled that Viki got out of Dodge and didn’t hang around to fight Dorian for that sad excuse for a man but I would have loved to see Viki’s face if she had witnessed Dorian’s little show at the ranch. Nora definitely deserves better and the jury is still out as far as I’m concerned about what Dorian deserves. Now Clint has given her the big Adios. I’m not so sure that’s a bad thing. He’s not great catch.

And poor, dumb David. He’s hurt because Dorian called her tryst with him a mistake. The sad part is that deep down, David really loves Dorian but he can never make up for leaving her at the alter. I died laughing when Clint walked in on them and David said, “Does anybody mind if I put on some shorts? My wife could walk in any minute.” It’s a good thing he got his shorts on before Clint pulled that shotgun on him. I have to hand it to whomever writes David’s lines because I fall over laughing every time he opens his mouth, like when he asked Natalie, “How’s my liver doing with Jessica?” and when Natalie replied that Jessica was doing well, David said, “No, I don’t care about Jessica. How’s my liver doing?”

And how long is Natalie and Jared’s little peace treaty going to last? At least they have finally decided to stop acting like children and own up to their attraction for each other. I wonder what’s going to happen now that Jared is going to pose as the long lost son that Asa named in his will.

Now we come to Alex and Nigel. I was surprised that Dorian didn’t get the chance to eavesdrop on that little conversation like Jared did. I’m interested to see how it plays out now that Jared is going to claim to be Asa’s son. He’s going to go so far as to get a sample of David’s hair for a DNA test. Natalie never avoids stepping in it when it comes to men, does she? It’s too bad that she hasn’t known a good, ethical man since Cristian or John and even they couldn’t make things work. The pickings are pretty slim for her these days. Is Jared willing to sacrifice a relationship with Natalie to claim what he thinks is part of Asa’s fortune? Jessica is already chastising Natalie for willingly starting a relationship with him. I hope Natalie treads very slowly on this one. I believe that Jared cares for her, but right now he certainly cares more about getting into the Buchanan clan at any cost.

What about Nigel keeping the secret about David’s paternity? Why is he so hell bent on not revealing David’s identity as Asa’s son? I know he told Alex that the family would not accept David because he is Spencer’s brother, but they wouldn’t have any choice. I guess Nigel bribing Alex to keep her mouth shut by giving her the island and the yacht he inherited was a small price for him to pay (not to me), but I guess for now the secret is safe. Old Nigel sure learned a lot from Asa, didn’t he? It was too funny to see him holding Alex hostage, tying her tied her up and forcing her to take the deal he was offering.

So, Marcie avoids getting caught yet again. Yawn, Yawn. All I can say is that Gigi is one heck of a decent human being. She didn’t really know what to believe and she passed up the million dollars that Todd offered her to protect Marcie. She’s also smart because while she could have been swayed by all that money, she had a bad vibe about Todd. I was pretty surprised that Todd and Blair believed her and went away after they found her looking at the flyer with Marcie and Tommy’s pictures and questioned her? I didn’t think she was all that convincing when she told them that she did meet Marcie but that Marcie left a couple of days ago. And Todd was true to form when he was hanging on the door to the kitchen and Moe told him, “Maybe you should take a seat at a table” and Todd told Moe, “Maybe you should bite me.” Todd is such a class act.

And how cute are Viki and Charlie? I laughed when Gigi walked into the motel and interrupted them a second time when Charlie was about to kiss Viki good night. This guy has all the luck, huh? Viki gets so flustered like a young girl but you can tell she loves every minute of the attention and the fun of her adventure with Charlie.
