And how awkward was it when Marty and Todd wound up face to face in their wheelchairs at the hospital?
I was cheering Marty on every second. She just gave him a taste of what she’s going to do to him and I loved it. The most ridiculous moment was when Todd just sat there taking it in and said, “I never meant to hurt anyone. I really loved you.” OMG, did he really say that? I’m glad no one listened to him when he kept begging people to let him die. Living with the consequences of what he did will be a much better punishment for him. Marty said it all when she got right in his face and said, “You deserve a fate worse than death and I’m going to spend the rest of my life figuring out how to give it to you.” I don’t know what is planned for Todd, but it will be awful if he finds a way to slip through the fingers of the system like he usually does. Dorian was on the money when she told Blair, “Todd will scream and hurl insults at everyone and hire a team of attorneys until someone shoots him and then we’ll all be happy.”
Added to the list of people who got badly hurt is Marcie.
She went and got her hopes up, prepared for a new baby that she thought she’d never have the privilege of having again and then she had to come home to a house full of things that remind her of what she lost. I was glad that Michael was there for Marcie and loves her enough to help her deal with her loss, telling her that she is still his wife and he still loves her and won’t walk away from her.
I’m going to put my money on Dorian to solve this baby mess.
Dorian already knows something is fishy when she finds out that the baby was never even in the ICU. Dr. Joplin certainly was not convincing when Dorian confronted her about what happened to the baby. Dorian can be like a dog with a bone and when she threatened the doctor about getting to the truth, she meant business. And hey, if Todd is the master of blackmail, Dorian is only about a half a step behind him. She should be able to figure out what Dr. Joplin is hiding without much trouble because she thinks like a crook. LOL! Dorian stole Clint’s company by blackmailing his best business buddies so finding out what motivated Dr. Joplin should be a day at the beach for her.
Let’s move on to Jessica, the next victim.
Jessica is lying in the hospital knowing that as Tess she has been plowing her way through all of her loved ones for months and she finally gets Clint to tell her what she did to Natalie and Jared. She is devastated by what she did and asks to see Natalie and Jared, which proved to be an awkward meeting to say the least. The problem is that Jessica is dealing with Nash’s death as if it just happened because Tess came out so soon after his death and she still hasn’t dealt with her feelings about Natalie and Jared’s part in what happened. Natalie does nothing but offer support and promises to stand by Jessica no matter what it takes. That was nice to see, especially since Natalie has been though a horrible ordeal at Jess/Tess’s hands.
How ironic is it that Tess had Natalie and Jared locked in a cage (so to speak) and that is exactly where Bess keeps the other alters?
Tess is only concerned about the baby she gave birth to because she knows something was wrong with her when she didn’t cry when she was born. Bess agrees to let Tess out just to prove that the baby is okay. Viki sure has a lot to deal with taking care of her family while dealing yet again with the guilt over what happened to Jessica as a little girl. Viki has no idea she would be dealing with Tess when she walked into the hospital room and Tess insisted on seeing the baby. They made a deal that she would let Jessica back out if Viki produced the baby, but that proved to be trouble because the minute Tess saw the baby she knew it wasn’t the baby she delivered. She lets Viki know it and she is also going to let Jessica know it, so we’ll see how long it takes for the truth to come out. I hope it’s very soon.
I enjoyed seeing Natalie and Rex reunited and Roxy and Rex being mom and son again.
There is potential for a lot of laughs and some very nice moments from this patchwork family and I hope we get to see more of them together.
Well, there was one very, very enjoyable moment for me this week and that moment involved John and the very crooked and nasty Mayor Lowell.
The mayor has been involved in nothing but dirty deals since he came to Llanview. He’s had some very questionable lunches with Dorian and his claim to fame was his relationship with Lee Ramsey whom he personally placed in the commissioner’s office. The mayor hates anyone who is honest and gets in his way, which explains why he is always at odds with Bo, Nora and John and he hates John the most because John is the most persistent in getting at the truth.
