FAN FEEDBACK AND QUESTIONS

Rosemary writes: “I've loved Nash since the day he hoisted Tess over his shoulder and saved her from the would-be rapist. What a modern-day knight! I wish he would turn out to be Paige's son. Even with Spencer for a dad, he'd have a great mom. I personally like Tess's personality much more than Jessica's. Jessica has always been dull as dishwater. I wanted Tess to dominate. I will never stop hoping that Tess will come back and run away with Nash. Or stay in Llanview with him. Regarding Spencer, I love actor Paul Satterfield's work and think he's done a tremendous job as Spencer. He's got the whole world hating him! He's like Mitch; you want to see him get his comeuppance, but you don't want him killed off; he's just too darned good a character! (I thought it was a great disservice to Margaret to have her go out with a whimper instead of a bang.)”

Dear Rosemary: I agree with you about Nash. I love the guy. I don’t agree that Tess should have totally taken over and run away with Nash. I want Jess to be a good combination of both personalities and live with her family and Nash in Llanview. Nash already has Clint on his side, so if he makes Jessica happy, I think he’ll fit in just fine. Somehow I think that Rex is going to be Paige’s son, but that remains to be seen. If Rex were her son, she would probably have a closer relationship with him because of his closeness to Bo. They’d make quite a family. And I really cringe at the thought of Spencer hanging around. And don’t be so quick to think people don’t want him killed off. Yes, Paul Satterfield makes you hate Spencer and that is great acting, but enough is enough. I wouldn’t cry at his funeral. Lots of fans have had just about all of Spencer that they can take and I am at the top of that list.

Brenda writes: “I am so happy that Cristian’s name has been cleared of the boxing scandal. I am not happy that Vincent did not go to jail. Once again he proved he is not to be trusted. Now that this has been resolved, I hope Cristian can find a career that he can be proud of. I think any work that has to do with helping with the community is his best fit. The man has a huge heart and really does want to make a difference in the world.”

Dear Brenda: I don’t have a lot of use for Vincent either and I wouldn’t have cried a tear if he had to do some time for what he did to Cristian. I’d like to see him taken away in the same paddy wagon as Spencer. And I would love to see Cristian get involved in any career other than boxing. That was an incredibly boring storyline and I don’t think many people miss having to sit through those scenes in that dirty gym. It was also ludicrous to watch Evangeline at ringside cheering him on.

Ttfrancine writes: “What’s happening with Tuc Watkins as David? I would like to keep him. How do I do this?”

Dear Ttfrancine: I haven’t heard from one single fan that is happy about the departure of Tuc Watkins. Everybody loves David and wants to keep him around, but Tuc is leaving the show of his own volition. He’s a West Coaster and wanted to return there and although I have heard that TPTB might be trying to get him to stick around on a recurring basis, there is no decision on whether or not we will see David in Llanview again. I hope we get to see him at least once in a while. Keep your fingers crossed.

lward4 writes: “Just out of curiosity, does Mark Derwin live on the wrong coast or something? Why can't they bring him back? We all want him back. No Clint for Viki, no, no, no, no! Tuc Watkins should be for Viki if we can't have Ben!”

Dear lward4: If you want my opinion, I say yes, of course Mark Derwin lives on the wrong coast because he doesn’t live where One Life to Live is produced. Not that being on the east coast would bring him back to the show, but you never know. Unfortunately, Mark chose to leave One Life to Live several years ago (to my great sadness) to take a role on the sitcom Life With Bonnie and even after that show was cancelled, he chose to remain in California to pursue other acting opportunities. The show tried to get him to come back at one point and he did return for a couple of days when Ben came out of his coma for a short tease one Valentine’s Day, but obviously he didn’t want to come back to daytime on any kind of permanent basis. It’s our loss for sure. Maybe one day the show will want to revive Ben and Mark will be ready to give daytime another go. That’s my eternal hope. I’d love to see Viki get involved with another man and have Ben pop up alive and well and ready to get his Blondie back. Stranger things have happened on daytime? No? Speaking of stranger things, a Viki/David paring would certainly qualify as strange, but it sure would be a hoot, wouldn’t it?
