Finally John has made his presence known. I was getting pretty tired of him speaking up when either no one was listening or they couldn’t hear what the heck he was saying. At least Vincent finally figured out who the blue-eyed man is. I thought it was pretty funny when John looked up at Vincent and said, “I’m John” and Vincent went flying back on the chair and wheeled himself right into the wall. And it figures that in true soap fashion it took Vincent a whole show’s worth of scenes to spit out the truth to Natalie.

Okay, let’s get to Natalie. I’ve given her a lot of leeway over the past several months when a lot of people thought she had just about hopped off the deep end, but this week she went further than the deep end. Digging up a grave? Is she crazy? What did she expect to do, dig deep enough, straddle the grave and flip open the lid of the coffin? That was over the top, even for Natalie. Obviously, Bo was thinking the same thing when he told Natalie that someone had tried to dig up John’s grave and she said she was the gravedigger. I was glad that at least Natalie had the good sense not to blurt out the truth about John in front of Paige when she ran to the hospital. That would have been no way for Paige to find out that her son was dead.

So, Jess and Antonio are on their honeymoon. I was a bit surprised that they left the baby with Nash. I was glad they did, but still surprised. I always enjoy the scenes where Nash has the baby and he talks to her as if she understands him and is talking back. It’s very cute. I would be heartless if I didn’t say I felt bad for Antonio. More and more of Tess’s personality is going to come out and that is going to mean doom for his marriage to Jessica. It was never more obvious that Jessica is conflicted than when she and Antonio showed up at Nash’s place and Jess went on the attack when she found Claudia holding Bree. That reaction out of Jessica was about 99% Tess and everyone in the room knew it. It appears that the only one who realistically knows what is going on is Nash. He sees right through Jessica and he hit the nail right on the head when she said that maybe she shouldn’t go on her honeymoon and he asked her if she were looking for an excuse not to go. And Nash is now dealing with his own feelings for Jessica because he realizes that his attraction has now shifted from Tess to Jessica and every time he means to say “Tess” he says “Jessica.”

This whole wedding had to be so hard on Nash and it was nice of Clint to speak to him to see if he was okay and tell him that even though he wasn’t going to be calling him “son”, he hoped that they could be friends. I like that Clint was always fair with Nash.

David certainly has grown up a lot, hasn’t he? He certainly surprised Dorian when he told her he was giving up mooching off her and leaving town to start his own new life in California. And it was really nice of him to speak to Adriana and tell her that it was about time that she forgave Dorian because no matter what Dorian has done she still loves her. I don’t blame Adriana for holding a grudge against Dorian, but David was right when he reminded her that Dorian wouldn’t be around forever and that she might not get a second chance to forgive her. Who knew David was so wise? Adriana has to come to the conclusion that nothing will ever change Dorian and that she doesn’t have to have a close relationship with her mother, but if she wants to be happy and not turn into a bitter woman, she needs to move on from the hatred.

And wasn’t it pure David Vickers when he and Dorian were at the wedding reception and he turned to her and said, “I always cry at weddings. I always cry when some rich babe marries someone else.” I’m sure David never forgets that he lost out on being married to Dorian, his own rich babe, because of his dear brother, Spencer.

I guess that Asa’s secret is that David is really his son by Emma Bradley. It was obvious when Asa was talking with Nigel about Emma and Asa told him that he had been with Emma once and then had been with her again several years later. Hmmm. When Nigel reminded him that Emma had another son several years younger than Spencer, the cat was out of the bag. Will we ever get a chance to explore this storyline with David heading out of town? And wouldn’t it be great to see Ben and David interact as brothers? Now that would a great comedy duo, Ben and David in a sarcastic battle of wits. Hey, you knew I’d bring that up when I got a chance to talk about missing Buchanans, didn’t you?

And I do love having Nigel back on the scene. I died laughing when Nigel was going to get Asa a drink and Asa said he wanted four fingers of bourbon and Nigel said, “A cold day in Hell, sir!” I love the way Nigel gets away with putting Asa in his place and even when Asa gets mad enough and fires him, Nigel is still there five minutes later tending to old Asa’s needs. What a pair. I love these two. When Asa fires Nigel it’s tantamount to him saying, “Nigel, leave me alone for a few minutes.”

And now Kevin is gone. I am glad that if Kevin has to leave, he didn’t leave dejected and alone and that he and Kelly are going to be together with Zane. I would like to have seen how they solve the problem of what Kevin is really going to be to Zane. Of course, as Kelly said, biology doesn’t make a man a father, but it would have been interesting to see them stay in Llanview and deal with the future. It’s just too bad we were robbed of that opportunity and have to lose two good actors in the bargain.
