REFLECTIONS BY JILL for November 13, 2006

From Jill Berry, for About.com

There is probably plenty of angst ahead for Starr though. She’s got a lot to deal with when it comes to attending school with a little viper like Brittany. It’s going to be interesting to see the whole story unfold when it comes to Cole and the steroids. Obviously, he’s already being affected by the drugs in the form of uncontrolled rage, which we saw when Brittany came on to him. I read that Starr is going to experience some of that anger as well. What is going to happen when Marty Saybrook comes on the scene as Cole’s mother and they deal with everything that’s going on? Blair is going to have her hands full dealing with Marty. Maybe she’ll have to get off Evangeline’s case for a while.

And Kevin has announced that he’s going to try to make a go of it with Kelly but can’t do it in Llanview. How convenient that Kelly feels the same way and that Kevin just happens to have a job offer in London. We’re all sorry to see Dan and Heather go. If there was going to be a Kevin/Kelly reunion, it should have been on screen for at least a while, but they will be gone before the end of the year with Kevin leaving first. I will miss Heather a lot. I think she’s one of the best actresses on the show and I enjoy watching her.

Now on to Roxy. My mouth just fell open when she saw Kelly at the wedding and said, “I’m sorry, I heard the kid came out half-baked.” Oh my gosh, that was so horrible and inappropriate, even for Roxy. Kelly, ever the lady, took it in stride, but it was a good thing they got Roxy out of there before she said anything else. And she wasn’t even drunk. It definitely lightened the mood when Roxy said, “Hey, I was premature and look how I turned out.” Yes Roxy, say no more!

And in closing, I don’t know how I’m going to get through watching the show once we no longer have David’s scenes to look forward to, like the one at the wedding where David was whispering to Dorian and she said, “Fermez la bouche” (which means shut up in French) and David said, “This is no time to order take-out.” And this is no time to let Tuc Watkins leave us!

See ya next week.

FAN FEEDBACK AND QUESTIONS

Cathryn writes: “I am tired of Blair throwing herself at Todd and acting so desperate? She can't accept the fact that Todd cannot and will not forgive her so why doesn't she take that and move on? She's behaving like a lovesick teenager and frankly I'd like to see Todd with someone else.

Dear Cathryn: I agree that Blair is acting in a very desperate way but she has never been one to give up when it involves something she wants and she believes more than anything that she and Todd belong together. I also think that Todd encourages her. He keeps saying he can’t forgive her and that love is not enough, yet everything he does keeps him close to her. He uses every opportunity to use Evangeline to get to Blair and Blair sees right through it. He uses Evangeline to annoy Blair because he knows it works. Blair moved herself back into her job at Craze and Todd made a weak attempt to throw her out but she’s still there, just like she’s back in the penthouse. That tells me that Todd wants her around as much as she wants to be around, but he’s just so hurt from all that has happened in the past year that he can’t totally take her back yet. He needs her to suffer.

Leland writes: “How stupid do TPTB think we viewers are? That scene where Spencer had a grip on Viki? He (Spencer) was not armed, there were 4 able men in the room (Clint, Bo, David and an armed policeman and by the way Bo was armed too) and they could not overcome an unarmed man and free Viki? That was totally ridiculous!”

Dear Leland: I totally agree; it was pretty ridiculous. I didn’t see Viki as being in any real danger and it didn’t even really look like he was choking her, unless his other arm, which was behind her, was pressing on a major artery or something like that. Bo has nerves of steel because this was the second time he had a chance to shoot Spencer and restrained himself.

Christina writes: “I, too, was a huge Ben and Viki fan and it broke my heart when she lost yet another husband but I'm so ready for her to move on with her life and find some much deserved happiness and romance. And honestly, I've never, ever been a Clint fan but I love the character now. Granted, it has to do with the actor and if this is who they have in store for Viki, then I'm all for it. She, of all people deserves happiness, love and romance in her life. So this fan says, "bring on the Viki and Clint reunion."

Dear Christina: It’s always good to hear from friends who have strong opinions that differ from mine and who remain friends anyway. I never forget that we became friends through our mutual love for Ben and Viki and I am positive that aside from me, you are the only one who was insane enough to know how many pairs of beige pants Ben had. Of course I won’t get into what that statement says about where our interests were focused (LOL). We all know that I’m a big baby when it comes to Ben and I always think that Viki will never come close to what she had with him. I still feel that way. I think I am maturing to the point where I can see Viki having someone in her life again, but sorry, I can’t see it being Clint. I just don’t see him as a man good enough for Viki at this point in her life after he’s been with Dorian and keeps having the need to make excuse for her and is not willing to write her off altogether. Thanks for continuing to read my stuff and for being my trusty OLTL trivia expert who always helps me answer questions on things I can’t remember or just don’t know.

Shirley writes: “I am trying to remember the actress that played the villain who hated Nora. She was married to Tad Martin on "All My Children." What happened to her and why is she no longer on OLTL?”

Dear Shirley: The actress to whom you are referring is Catherine Hickland. She plays Lindsay Rappaport on One Life To Live and she is still with the show. We don’t see her on the show very often any more since she is on recurring status, but most recently, she has been involved with RJ Gannon and hasn’t been around enough to make any real trouble.
