FAN FEEDBACK AND QUESTIONS

mlydick1 writes: “There is nothing to say about Todd. The writers have written him into a corner. He can be spouting anything but the look in his eyes is one of pain. The Jared storyline is a joke. Blackmail is against the law. All Jessica has to do is turn him in. He will be arrested and tried. There is nothing for Jessica to hide, as Tess she did bad things and she is not Tess.”

Dear mlydick1: Frankly, I don’t care about the look in Todd’s eye, whether it’s a look of pain or that immature “Gotcha” look he wears when he cruelly tries to best people with nasty, personal comments. Todd’s pain is something he should have addressed a long time ago, especially after all the pain his behavior has caused his family and when Blair coddles him and reminds him that everything he’s done has been or his kids, I want to have her head examined right along with Todd’s. As far as Jared goes, sure it would be easy for Jessica to turn him in but there is no way she wants everything that she did as Tess to come out. Whether or not you think it was Tess who did all those terrible things, Jessica believes that Tess is a part of her and that she is definitely responsible in some way for what Tess did. Whether she should be or not, Jessica is ashamed of what she did as Tess and accusing Jared of blackmail is something that would result in her worst nightmares being exposed. She’d like to feel that she has put Tess behind her and somehow, she is never able to do that because the fallout of Tess’s reign keeps hitting her in the face.

Andrea writes: “Marcie is just plain driving me crazy. How can you get so mad at someone that you declare you are never going to see him again and over something so stupid? So Michael didn’t tell her. Big whoop. What could she have done had she known?”

Dear Andrea: Lots of people feel the way you do about Marcie and I’m getting very tired of her southern trek myself, but I do understand the way she feels about Michael. She put all of her love and trust in him and thought he did the same with her and he betrayed her in a way that she feels took away what was most important in her life. Obviously, she is now very distraught over the fact that she feels she can’t go back to Michael. She still loves him and hasn’t got a clue how to go on with her life. I just want it all to be over. Let’s get her home and get Tommy back to his lunatic father and move on.

Linda writes: “I can't believe they are replacing Marty. It took a long time for me to get into her but now they change actors! I hope the writers decide to let John, Natalie, and Sarah's characters grow. They can't stay the same and keep repeating the same mistakes. It’s not worth watching. Sadly, I am fast-forwarding some scenes. I can't take characters repeating the same dialogue over and over.”

Dear Linda: I certainly agree about things repeating over and over on soaps and our show is no exception. Sometimes you just sit back and know what’s going to happen down to the words the actors are going to say. As far as Marty goes, I was getting used to her, but ever since she took it upon herself to follow John in the hunt for Marcie, I feel like it’s too soon for them to get as close as they are. If we’re staying true to the characters’ personalities (which doesn’t always happen), I don’t think John would take kindly to her insinuating herself into his life in this way at this point in their relationship. And if John has chosen this relationship as the one where he will finally let down his guard, then I am very disappointed that Marty is the one he chose to open himself up to.
