Matthew and Danielle

Copyright by ABC Daytime, 2009
I like the new friendship that is blossoming between Matthew and Danielle. Thank goodness he has someone he can relate to since his parents planted him in that British boarding school and gave him absolutely no say in his own life. Danielle knows what it’s like because she is in almost the same situation but for different reasons. At least Matthew knows why his parents put him in that school but Danielle seems to have been told by Tea that she is in that school to get a good education, etc. Danielle just thinks she’s a prisoner.

We know that Tea has her in that school to hide her from Ross, who thinks he is Danielle’s father. Oh, and Danielle thinks he’s her father, too, and wants to get in touch with him. Up to this point, Tea has been successful in keeping Ross away from Danielle, but that is all about to change because Ross is on his way to London with information about Danielle’s whereabouts and Tea and Elijah are right behind them. I hear that Danielle and Matthew are going to run away so that should get a rise out of their parents. Danielle seems like a sharp cookie, but a nice girl nevertheless. She did offer Matthew her phone so that he could hear the message Destiny left for him. I shudder to think what will happen when she is confronted with the fact that Todd Manning is her father and that he is the bane of everyone’s existence in Llanview.

And speaking of Destiny; this girl will do anything for Matthew, the boy she loves. She thinks Matthew is in trouble and has convinced David to go to London with her to see him. David has been trying to get Dorian to see the error of her ways when it comes to her upcoming gay wedding, but to no avail. We’ll talk more about Dorian later, but Destiny does convince David to go to London with her and even drains her entire bank account to buy plane tickets.

Meanwhile, back in London, Bo and Nora have made a final visit to Matthew before they head back home and the visit does not go the way they want it to. Matthew wants nothing to do with his parents since they dumped him in that school and are abandoning him to go back home and he lets them know how he feels about them. They leave him and when they get back to their hotel, Bo and Nora are very upset over the way Matthew behaved. Nora can’t stand the way Matthew hates them now and Bo is just plain mad because he thinks Matthew is behaving like a snotty little kid. HEY BO, WHAT THE HECK DID YOU EXPEC T?

Well, anger and frustration overcome both Bo and Nora and they start flinging glasses and liquor bottles at the walls (nice behavior for a police commissioner and a district attorney) which gets the anger out and makes them feel better. They feel so much better that they wind up in each other’s arms in a passionate kiss. Wow, talk about relieving tension. Bo and Nora have some serious kissing going on and almost get caught by Kevin, but Kevin steps into the room and only notices the broken crystal. When Kevin leaves them alone again, Nora wants to avoid the situation at all cost and keeps saying she loves Clint. I guess Bo has finally reach the breaking point (FINALLY) and he wants to discuss what happened. Nora keeps avoiding the situation and Bo finally says, “If you love Clint so much, why do we always wind up like this? We can’t go on like this. We have to deal with it.” Nora keeps playing dumb until Bo finally says, “You don’t know what’s going on here? I’ll tell you. I still love you, damn it! I love you!” I know, I know, all you Bo and Nora fans like me were cheering like crazy. Finally, something I want to see happen. Nora won’t be able to hide her feelings any more, especially after Bo called her “Red.” I read that she will come clean with Clint and LMAO, I think Stacy is going to go after Clint so hopefully he will be busy while Bo and Nora are reuniting. Now, I don’t dislike Clint enough to see him hooked up with Stacy, but I would get a sick kind of laugh out of watching him deal with the little gold digger. Hey, Bo and Nora are headed back to each other and I am loving it. Can John and Natalie be far behind?

Gigi and Schuyler keep getting thrown together, not that they mind much. They come home from the concert and obviously have had a good time. Schuyler has the good sense to go home after Gigi gets a call from Rex. Rex still won’t tell Gigi what he’s up to with Natalie and she is not happy about it. The next day is Halloween and Rex, Gigi and Shane had decided to go to the party as Batman, Robin and Cat Woman, but of course Rex isn’t there. Roxy conveniently asks Schuyler to drop the costumes off at Gigi’s place and when he gets there, Shane begs him to take Rex’s place as Batman. Shane has been gearing up for this party forever so Gigi asks Schuyler if he’d mind standing in for Rex. Oh sure, that’s a real hardship for Schuyler. The costumes were great and even better was the fact that Todd, Blair, Jack and Sam came to the party as The Fantastic Four and were in competition for the best costumes. Of course Gigi, Shane and Schuyler won and thank goodness. We can’t give those Mannings bigger heads than they already have.

Later at the party, Schuyler shows Gigi that he has a letter from Llanview Medical School but he’s afraid to open it. Gigi opens it and of course he has been accepted. In their excitement, Gigi and Schuyler wind up in each other’s arms kissing. No surprise there. They have an awkward moment and Gigi decides to admit to Schuyler that one of the reasons she and Rex are going to therapy is that she was jealous when he went out with Stacy and that she does have feelings for him. Schuyler is shocked and wants to know where they go from here.

So, John is looking for Rex and Natalie since he figured out they took off in search of Jared. John is not surprised that Natalie was smart enough to disable the GPS on her cell phone. He goes to Gigi’s place to ask if she knows anything about Rex’s whereabouts, and even though she doesn’t, John is able to scribble down Rex’s credit card number and track him down that way.
