You have to give Adriana credit for one thing, deluding herself. I couldn’t believe she moved Rex to La Boulaie, turned Dorian’s living room into an infirmary and didn’t think anyone would find out where she was hiding Rex. No matter how much she professes her love for him, there is no way that he’s better off at home than in a facility where they are prepared for all contingencies, so it was obvious that her first priority is keeping Gigi away from Rex. It’s too bad it didn’t work. I don’t think I can wait for Dorian to get home (after her night in jail) to find that Rex (whom she can’t stand anyway) has been planted in her living room, along with all of that hospital equipment and staff. Lucky for her he won’t be there for long.

It’s too bad that Adriana didn’t count on Michael doing the best thing for the patient and dropping enough clues on Marcie and Gigi to lead them directly to Rex. It was kind of silly the way Marcie kept trying to distract Adriana so that Gigi could sneak into the house and it was really dumb when Adriana actually caught Gigi heading into the living room and never actually got Gigi to turn around so she could see her face. Only on a soap could Adriana talk to Gigi’s back for that long and never see her face. Sometimes I think the writers think we’re totally ignorant and many times I think we’re crazy for watching this stuff. But hey, everyone needs a little mindless diversion at the end of the day, right?

So Gigi gets in to see Rex and she talks to him, flashing back to good times they had together and finally gets him to wake up. Praise the Lord; it’s a miracle. LOL! I am glad Rex is finally awake and we can finally see him deal with Adriana and move on with his life after that fiasco of a marriage he and Adriana so stupidly entered into. I really like Rex and Gigi together and I am going to enjoy watching Rex be a father to Shane. It was very cute when Gigi said, “Balsam, you look like hell” and Rex responded, “Morasco, you are the most beautiful sight I’ve ever seen.” Okay, a likeable and fun couple in love; let’s not screw it up, writers!

Well, Dorian got her wish since Langston isn’t leaving for Colombia any time soon, or ever. Vanessa is Dorian’s hero since she shot Ray and Dorian didn’t have to feel responsible for her hit man doing the dirty work. However, it remains to be seen if Dorian will get away without a scratch as she so often does. Vanessa gets arrested for shooting Ray and she’s not remorseful for doing the deed at all. Vanessa asks Cris to take care of Lola, which he surely can’t refuse and John pulls Dorian in for questioning because he knows, as well as he knows his wardrobe is totally black, that Dorian hired Jackie to bump Ray off. Have you ever seen anyone as calm, cool and collected as Dorian? I was laughing at the way she looked at John like Little Miss Innocent when she knows that he knows her hands are dirty as sin. I died laughing when Dorian told John that she met with Jackie because she is involved in rehabilitating convicts. OMG! That was hysterical and she said it with a straight face! It takes a lot more than a few pointed questions to ruffle Dorian’s feathers and as long as she still has Langston and her company, she couldn’t care if Ray bled to death on the floor of the airport terminal. She’s sorry he’s not dead yet.

Langston’s story is getting more interesting. This young woman has been craving a connection to her roots and she sure got a lot more than she bargained for when she met her Uncle Ray, but now she has a cousin in Lola and Vanessa is actually her Aunt so it will be interesting to see how these characters fit into the canvas. And let’s not forget that Langston has already figured out that Dorian was probably somehow involved Ray’s shooting because she saw that Dorian wasn’t surprised at all when he was shot.

Jared and Natalie are still locked in the basement getting hungrier and hungrier and they fantasize that they are back in Texas, dancing under the stars. Is it just me, or does this couple lack the chemistry we look for in a romantic duo? I just don’t feel the heat from these two. And I wonder how long it will take before Jared gets into a whole new heap of trouble once Bo figures out that Clint brought Ray to Llanview with Jared’s help. Tess has something new in store for Jared and Natalie so who knows what will be next?

Does it make anyone as happy as it makes me that Todd’s life is starting to unravel? He’s got Tess and Tina like two nooses around his neck and he can’t get rid of either one of them. Now Marty tells him that she’s having memories of being with a small boy and wonders if she ever gave birth to a son and even though he sees a few bumps in his road, Todd keeps up the lying and still thinks his plan is going to work out in the long run. Only a demented mind would believe that he could deal with Marty, Janet, Tess, John, Tina and Starr’s doctor and still get away with such a diabolical plan.

It was just what he needed when Tess showed up at his door with Bree demanding that he give her a place to stay. Of course what Tess has done is awful, but what Todd has done makes Tess’s actions look like child’s play. Tess figured out very quickly that Todd is going to steal Starr’s baby and takes great pleasure in letting him know that she’s onto his plan. Todd made me laugh my head off when he objected to Tess running off with Bree and told her that if she loved her kid she’d let her go. OMG! Todd is giving advice on how to treat your kids if you love them. Maybe he thinks Bree would be better off with him. Banish the thought. Are all you parents out there taking notes so you don’t miss Todd’s words of wisdom?
