REFLECTIONS BY JILL for October 23, 2006

From Jill Berry, for About.com

Okay, I’ll ask the questions. What in the world has happened to Antonio? Who is this alien Jessica is living with and what have they done with the real Antonio? Could it be that he has finally realized that the best way to deal with the whole Nash situation is to be a mature and reasonable man? I have to admit I was a little surprised by his decent behavior last week. Could TPTB be listening to all of us who have been totally frustrated with his obnoxious behavior and his constant striving to completely get Nash out of his and Jessica’s lives?

Do you know what I hate most? I hate the fact that just when I have totally gotten comfortable with the prospect of Antonio losing Jessica, they go and make Antonio reasonable and magnanimous and now I’ll have to go and feel sorry for him when he gets hurt. Jeez, why do they do this to me? Hey, I am not changing my mind about one thing; I want Jessica and Nash to be together. I think they make a great couple and that isn’t going to change, but when they pull a fast one like this on a bleeding heart like me I could scream.

I was shocked that Antonio didn’t throw Nash in jail for that stunt he pulled at Rodi’s. As much as I love him, Nash was obnoxious and didn’t deal well with how distraught he was over what he has lost. I was even more shocked when Antonio dragged him home, tossed him under the cold shower and spoke to him with kindness and understanding. And I just sat there and slapped myself on the side of the head when Antonio told Nash that he didn’t want to do to him what he had experienced from RJ. Duh, I think I brought up that RJ comparison about ten times over the past several weeks. But the icing on the whole cake was when Nash showed up at Jessica and Antonio’s place to apologize and tell them he would be leaving them alone except for his scheduled visits with Bree and Antonio told him he wanted him to be in the wedding. I swear, if I hadn’t read that Antonio was going to do that, my mouth would have been hanging open as wide as Jessica’s was. And then when Antonio invited Nash to stay for dinner and left him alone with Jessica, I was at the point where I wondered if he didn’t have an ulterior motive. I’m not going to be happy about enjoying Nash and Jessica together at Antonio’s expense if he really has chosen to be the “new” Antonio. These writers never let me have any fun.

David is being his usual silly, lovable self, isn’t he? Did he really think Spencer would sign over his power of attorney and make him the beneficiary of his will? David can now add delusional to his list of attributes. Spencer really slapped David when he said he was leaving everything to his son, Hugh, because, “he’s a Buchanan David, and you’re not.” I wasn’t surprised to hear Spencer tell David that what he did to the Buchanans was nothing compared to what he plans to do to Asa and that if he hadn’t fallen in love with Blair, there wouldn’t be a Buchanan left standing.

And having Dorian as a confidante is not going to help David. She’ll do anything to get her hands on someone else’s money and if it’s Buchanan money, that’s even better.

I loved the scene where Viki told Clint that she was at Dorian’s house and saw David walking around in his underwear. I think she got a kick out of that, don’t you? I think Viki was right when she said that nobody deserves Dorian, even David. And as usual, Clint is behaving like a dope. He’s so obviously jealous and he keeps denying it as if anyone is going to believe him. I couldn’t believe he was dumb enough and jealous enough to go over to Dorian’s to confront her about David and then stood there saying he wasn’t jealous. Yeah, right Clint! What is wrong with this man? All I can say is that if TPTB are planning to hook him up with Viki again, they are making it harder and harder for the fans who truly know the kind of person Viki is, to believe that she’d get involved with him again romantically after he finishes making a fool of himself over Dorian. Totally ridiculous in my book! It was fun watching Clint and Viki eating dinner on Dorian’s nickel though. And Viki sure does the best job of saying, “I told you so” without actually saying the words.
