FAN FEEDBACK AND QUESTIONS

Pearl writes: “For the past few months I have been watching Marcie fighting to adopt Starr's baby against her husband's wishes. Now that they have separated, who is going to support the baby if she gets it? Marcie does not work. I realize that this is soap opera but in adoptions you need proof that you can support the baby.”

Dear Pearl: You’re right; in soaps everyone has everything they want and nobody really has to work. However, Marcie is determined to raise Starr’s baby on her own and she has spoken about the high school considering reinstating her, so if she gets that baby, I’m sure she will miraculously get her job back. I’m betting that she gets Michael back, too, so that should take care of everything. Well, I’m hoping she gets Michael back.

Kathy writes: “Is there any chance that John and Natalie will be back together? If any couple has chemistry it is this couple.”

Dear Kathy: I couldn’t agree more. I have always been a die-hard John and Natalie fan and although it seems like Natalie and Jared are really in love, I don’t really see any great chemistry between them. I think John and Natalie really sizzled together and aside from physical chemistry, they care about each other like very few others couples we’ve seen. I still hold out hope that one day down the road they will be reunited; maybe when John is ready to make a real commitment. I just hope it happens before I’m too old to have the strength to push the “on” button on the remote control so I can finally witness it.

Disonba3 writes: “You say that you have dinner during some of these scenes which are so unbelievable, well, now you know how I feel whenever I see a scene with the Jared/Natalie, Blair/John or John/Marty "things"! Totally disgusting! EEEWWW! I, again want to know when John and Marty "fell so in love." It was never there, just John being nice to a lonely woman with a son who reminded John of himself when he was a boy without a father. They became friends due to John's loneliness without Natalie, and slept together, John said to Marty the very night they slept together, “I don't know where this might go, I don't even know what it is between it, why don't we take it slow and just try it out to see." Now, how is that transmitted into "so in love"? This story sucks big time, all just a ruse to keep John and Natalie apart, these storylines are ALL very unrealistic, we the fans, with this new head writer, were promised thrilling new storylines.”

Dear Disonba3: LOL, I do have dinner while I’m watching the show after work in the evening and honestly, the only couple that nauseates me is Todd and Marty. As for John and Blair and Natalie and Jared, I don’t see these as forever relationships because like you, me and the fan above, many people still want John and Natalie together. I don’t mind John and Blair so much because I think they are good friends and they have a good relationship. The did come together out of loneliness and both needed what the other had to offer, but I’m hoping that if the relationship breaks up they will remain friends. I totally agree about John and Marty. This relationship had never really progressed to the point of a true romance so I never understood why more was made of it than it was. I’m very curious to see how this storyline unfolds and what happens to all these relationships.
