Jared Banks

So, Jared has been framed. That’s right and I’ve got a bridge I’d like to sell you. I feel sorriest for Natalie who is standing by her husband when she knows in her heart that somehow her life with this man has been a lot less than honest.

It sure seems like John has Jared up against the wall with the evidence piling up by the minute. Natalie found him hovering over Landers’ (the stalker) bloody, dead body and oops, he just happened to put his hands on the murder weapon by mistake. The when Natalie naturally wants to call the police, Jared thinks maybe they don’t need to do that. That was a good time for Natalie to remind him of their “no secrets” vow and the next thing you know, John, Fish, Bo, Jessica and Brody are all on the scene. Of course Jared plays innocent but then has to backpedal as the evidence starts piling up. John finds Landers’ cell phone and what do you know? The last call he made was to Jared and although Jared denies knowing the guy, John redials the phone and shockingly (lol) Jared’s phone rings in his pocket right in front of everyone.

Jared stands his ground and when Natalie tells the police to go ahead and search the place, they find Jared’s computer. John wants to take the computer to the station, but Jared objects with the lame excuse that he has sensitive Buchanan Enterprises information on it so John tells Fish to look through it right there and what do you know? They find a list of money transfers from Jared to Landers. Oh yeah, Jared was framed; I forgot. Oh, and let’s not forget all the emails between Jared and Landers which were deleted (that’s a joke for someone like Fish), especially the email where Landers told Jared to meet him on the terrace that very evening. John takes Jared in for questioning and also tells Jared that they know he was in prison with Landers at the same time.

Jared sees the writing on the wall and instead of telling what he knows, he accuses John of raking him over the coals because he was once in love with Natalie and still is. John admits that he will always care about Natalie, but Jared’s accusation is more than weak. Natalie gets Jared a lawyer and Jared has a story to tell. We just haven’t heard it yet.

Charlie and Viki show up and poor Charlie is worried about Jared. He will stand by him no matter what because he was never there for Jared as a kid and feels it is his obligation to stand by him now. John sends Jared to a cell before he can tell his lawyer or Natalie what he’s been lying about.

So, back at the ranch (La Boulaie) two things are going on. Dorian is holding a press party in honor of the gay community and upstairs, Blair and Tea are having a major confrontation because Tea is furious that Blair told Todd about her marriage. I have to say that Blair was nothing less than scary as she went after Tea with her claws and teeth bared. She is one evil, vindictive shrew when she is out to get someone and she wants to destroy Tea more than anything else. They get into a very heated argument about Tea lying to Todd. Tea realizes that Blair and Ross have teamed up and plotted to make it look like she was divorced when Ross never actually filed the papers and all Blair can do is gloat about Todd kicking Tea out. I did find it totally hysterical that Todd was so outraged that Tea lied to him. Sure, it was a bad secret to keep, but let’s face it, Todd has done things that are so heinous that Tea not telling him she’d married Ross was a blip on the screen compared to every one of his crimes.

Tea and Blair get more and more agitated and it comes out that there is more to the secret that Tea has revealed. Blair fools her into thinking that Ross has told her the rest of the secret and she tricks Tea into admitting that she has a child. At first Blair thinks Tea had a child by Ross, but then Tea’s silence quickly lets Blair know that yes, Tea had a child, but Ross was not the father and that father was none other than Todd. Shouldn’t it be against the law for someone like Todd to keep procreating?

All Blair had to hear was that Tea had Todd’s baby and never told him and she was ready to run to Todd with that little tidbit. Tea wasn’t having any of that and they struggled. And who couldn’t guess that Blair would go flying out that window? I guess turnabout is fair play since Blair did once send Tea on the same kind of flight. Oh, and when it comes to mothering, will someone remind Blair that although she thinks she’s a great mother, she is not the paragon she thinks she is.

So, Blair lands in the yard right smack in the middle of Dorian’s press conference. Now, this wasn’t just any press conference. We all know that Dorian would do anything on this earth to beat Viki at whatever the competition is. However, let me just say that this is by far the most ridiculous, stupid storyline that has ever been written for Dorian. I know that there is a lot of controversy over this type of gay storyline, but I don’t even care about that. Even for Dorian, this is at the point of unbelievable. Even though I know there is nothing she won’t do to best Viki, this is just way past anything remotely believable.
