FAN FEEDBACK AND QUESTIONS
Deb writes: You keep hinting that John isnt really dead. How about some details?
Dear Deb: I wasnt hinting! JOHN REALLY ISNT DEAD! Michael Easton signed at least an extension of his contract and I believe part of the deal was for him to have some time off. If he had not signed a contract extension, you can be pretty sure that John would really be dead, but he is very much alive and we should see him back some time in November. Maybe when the man in the bandages starts groaning in a voice that sounds very much like Johns, it will be obvious that John did not die in that accident.
Lucy writes: I know John will come back, probably when Natalie has started another relationship and just when she is happy, he'll come back. I am not feeling it and didn't like the ending.
Dear Lucy: I think that John will be back long before Natalie has a chance to even think about another relationship. She is going to start to believe that John is really alive, so maybe shell do a bit of sleuthing and figure out what happened to him. I didnt like what happened either. I hate when everyone has to mourn someone they loved and when that person is not even dead, it seems even more senseless. And I really hate how dumb I feel sitting there crying on my couch when I know the person will be coming back to life. But aside from feeling dumb, I love a good cry.
Sheree writes: What a WASTE! I watched last weeks shows and shook my head in sadness. All those scenes with Cristian, Evangeline and Layla at the fights...boring! As much as I once loved David Fumero, I think it's time for him to leave the show. This boxing storyline is STUPID! It's not Fumeros fault; it's the writers fault. So much of OLTL is the same way. It's time for Dena Higley AND Brian Frons to go!
Dear Sheree: I cant say I disagree. I cant stand the boxing storyline either. Its a waste of time with decent actors playing roles that they just dont fit into. I dont know if Id go so far as to want David Fumero to leave the show, but I think there could be much better writing for the character of Cristian than were getting now and for Evangeline, too.
Pearl writes: I am not a fan of Nash's and would love to see him written out of the show along with Claudia. I would really dislike seeing TPTB marry him and Jessica. I would really like to see Jessica grow up and learn to live her own life; I just don't want it to be with Nash. Whenever he is on with that cocky and arrogant attitude of his I would just love to slap his face. I just do not agree with you on this.
Dear Pearl: I still love ya even if you cant stand Nash. There just isnt much I can find wrong with him. Yes, hes a bit arrogant, but I think he is a man who is very sure of himself and I also see him as a man who is basically on his own in Llanview. He fell in love with Tess not knowing all the baggage that came with that relationship and I think he has shown respect and has been a lot more understanding of the situation than Antonio has, especially since Nash has to watch Antonio living with what he considers to be his family. I think Nash has shown respect to Jessicas family and has backed off when he was asked to. Her family has had to shut Antonio up plenty of times for losing his cool, but Nash has not deliberately tried to hurt anyone. Sure, he did pull that ridiculous kidnapping stunt, but Jessica didnt mind it for very long, did she? Now Claudia, thats another story altogether. She can get on the next bus out of Llanview any time now and Id pay for her ticket.
