Last week I wondered more than once what the heck is wrong with Nora? Didnt she learn anything from all the idiots she has been involved with? You would think that being involved with the likes of Colin MacIver and Daniel Coulson, she would be able to see a jerk coming at her from a mile away, wouldnt you? But no; Nora continues to live in that house which belongs to her, being romantically involved with Clint who is behaving in every dishonest and unethical way that Nora has ever despised and now to top it all off, she comes home from a trip to find her idiot boyfriends ex-girlfriend shacked up in her house in his bathrobe. Do you think Noras brain totally recovered from that coma she was in a couple of years ago?
Now Clint has been caught by Cole conspiring with Ray and doesnt even care. It was pretty disgusting of him to try to threaten Cole when Cole figured out that he was using Ray to hurt Langston and thereby getting back at Dorian for taking B.E. from him. Did Clint really believe that he could threaten Cole by reminding him that he and Nora have given him a good home? Hey Clint, Nora is his guardian and Cole has much more of a right to be in that house than you do. Clint really sunk pretty low when he brought up Coles father and the fact that he would fight for what was his. It was really a joke to hear Clint try to tell Cole that they were really very much alike. And did Clint think that Cole would be impressed by the fact that he would reward loyalty by making him part of the Buchanan dynasty? Give me a break!
Cole couldnt wait to get over to La Boulaie and tell Langston, Starr and Markko just what Clint was up to. Go Cole! Starr said it all when she remarked, I never knew Clint could be so grimy. I dont blame Clint for wanting his company back, but its pretty dirty to go after a young girl and not even care that you hurt her even for a minute. Sure, Dorian has done some really awful things to a lot of people and if Clint went after her in a different way I wouldnt care. Id hope he would wait for Viki to get back and team up with her, especially after what Dorian did to Charlie. But the fact that Clint has no conscience about hurting Langston is way too low for me to accept, even to get back at Dorian.
So, Dorian humbles herself to the judge and we know that probably made her want to swallow her tongue so she wouldnt use it to lash out again, but she hightailed it right over to Noras house to confront Clint. I cant wait to see how that turns out. I have to say that I loved the scenes where Dorian was in jail and who would have dreamed she would call on Jackie McNaughton for help. I used to love Jackie when he was one of Bens old mob cronies. Hes hysterical and I did have to laugh when Dorian suggested he take care of Ray permanently.
Now poor Rex has been shot protecting Gigi and Shane from Brody and hes hanging by a thread in the hospital. Sure, hes going to be okay, but I would love to see them get him off that respirator so he can speak and toss Adriana out of his room on her butt. It is amazing to me that she can show up to be by her beloved husbands bedside and pretend to be the loving wife who has done nothing but stand by her man. It is well past time that Adriana accepted the fact that Rex loves Gigi and all the scheming she did behind his back has finally backfired on her. But no, she has to stand her ground as she accuses Gigi of being responsible for what happened to Rex. OMG, this is just too funny. At least Gigi reminded her and everyone around them at the hospital that she was the one who bribed Brody into coming to Llanview to keep Rex from his son and that she provided Rexs DNA so that this whole mess could get started. I was remembering what a sweet, lovable girl Adriana was when she first came to Llanview and it is hard to believe she has turned into the witch she is today. Even her good buddy and partner in crime, Layla, tried to get her to see reason and let Gigi see Rex, but Adriana stood her ground and made sure the doctor knew that Gigi was not to be admitted in to see Rex. Gigi made her point when she left and reminded Adriana that as soon as Rex could speak, he would ask for her, which I am sure is whats going to happen now that Rex is awake.
I enjoyed Rexs little dream where he played, So you think you can be Shane Morascos father. It was fun seeing Troy and Jen again, even for a little while and it was interesting to see how all the questions Rex was asked led back to something from his past that he would rather not remember and something that would not make him a good father. It really showed how much Rex has changed and its just too bad we didnt find out who his real father is. Although the game was silly, it was fun anyway.
Poor Shane. This kid has been through the ringer. How is a ten-year old supposed to digest all the b.s. that has been thrust upon him in the last several weeks. All he knows is that he loves Brody and Brody is his dad. Im glad that Gigi finally told him the truth and even though he didnt accept it well, he is a smart enough kid that hes going to realize what is the right thing to do. Bo helped tremendously when he sat Shane down and explained things and didnt blame Shane for the way he felt. H let him know that Rex was a good guy and he should give him a chance and also that he would see that Brody got all the help he needed. Bo is a great guy and a great dad and Rex and Shane are lucky to have him in their lives.
Well, Natalie is still down in the basement and Jared hasnt given up looking for her, especially now that Rex has been seriously injured and no one can figure out why Natalie wouldnt be there. Tess is having a really good time keeping Natalie from seeing Rex, but Natalie scored a few points when she hit Tess where it hurt, talking about Bree and the new baby. Tess gets every more furious when she is forced to show any vulnerability and Natalie got to her. Not that it helped Natalie, but she got some satisfaction.
