It was only after knowing Nash that she softened up enough to let herself fall in love. Jared looked pretty innocent and quite the victim when Tess slept with him then stole jewelry and money from other hotel guests and pinned it on him. Jessica really did feel awful because she had no idea that hed go to jail for two years. Tess never thought about those things and just figured hed get locked up for a few days.
And Jared is no fool. He knows what he wants and hes willing to go for it. He says he has an MBA, or was going for one and he wants a job at Buchanan Enterprises. Hes right when he says that it would be nearly impossible to find a job like hes looking for with his criminal record. I thought Natalie really had him in that game of pool. There was no way he was going to beat her legitimately and he knew just how to kill her concentration by mentioning John kissing Marty. I guess Natalie is really a woman of her word because she did give Jared a job. That office manager had a field day with Natalie when he came into her office and found Jared massaging her neck. What was she thinking? She truly has a lot to learn, especially about the workplace, but honestly, that manager, Jim, was totally out of line and he definitely has it in for Natalie. Although she should have Clint toss him out on his ear for talking to anyone like he did to her, she probably figures it would be worse to run to daddy with her office issues.
And whats with Jared and Renee? Poor Renee is in mourning for Asa and when Jared showed up it was so easy for him to charm her, especially since she claims he looks exactly like a young Asa. I might get to like Jared, but if he hurts Renee, he will go on my hit list immediately.
Now that we know that Christina Chambers has been let go from the show, I have no idea what is going to happen to Marty, let alone Cole. I have heard that the role of Marty will not be recast right now, but I dont know if thats definite and to be honest, although I have learned to tolerate Marty lately, I would miss Cole a lot more than Marty at this point if her leaving meant that Cole was also gone in the deal. Cole has turned out to be a really decent young man and a very positive force in Starrs life and despite what Todd has to say about it (he was disgusting when he told Cole to get out of the house before the wedding), I think Starr needs Cole.
I was very happy to see some nice John/Natalie moments for a change. John still stinks at talking about feelings, but it was nice to see him finally realize that he owed her a big apology and saying that he now understands why she did what she did. A little too late, no? Things just blew up in Natalies face when they broke up and I think John was very responsible for a lot of that heartache. There will always be something between Natalie and John. They care for each other and about each other very deeply and it was good to hear him admit that if he saw her kissing another man it would bother him. Of course, when she asked him about Marty he said he didnt want to talk about that. Why should he? He cant even figure it out for himself yet. There is no surprise in that where John is concerned.
I have to say that as silly as it sounds, I was sad to see Layla and Adriana have to part as roommates. They have become good friends and that wont change, but there is a lack of girlfriend stuff on the show these days and I enjoyed the scenes where Adriana moved out and Layla had to reluctantly welcome Sarah to the apartment.
Finally Nora got her check from the insurance company so that she can buy a new house and Clint tells her that Asa wanted her and Matthew to live in the mansion permanently. She has to think that one over, but I wonder how Matthew will feel about the decision.
My one questions is, when is Viki coming back? I know shes due back this month and I cant wait to see what the writers have in store for her. They have disappointed me in the past where shes concerned but I do hope that she doesnt come back and spend a lot of time coddling her brother or even scolding him for what hes done to Michael and Marcie. It was nice to see Marcie enjoy her surprise birthday party because that will probably be the last celebrating she does for a long time and Im not looking forward to that.
See ya next week.
