FAN FEEDBACK AND QUESTIONS

Lucy writes: “If Kevin and Kelly leave together, (with Kevin's son) then I guess this story will have a happy ending, however, I am so tired of Rex, Adriana, Christian, Evangeline, Antonio, & Jessica. Maybe what we need is fresh characters. Will Vince be on the show for long? I really think he is useless. He and Layla should run off into the sunset together. I know John has the gun that killed his father, and as much as I love John, this is also getting sickening. He was more concerned about retrieving that gun than getting justice done. I heard he is taking a leave of absence. Do you know for how long?”

Dear Lucy: I guess if Kevin and Kelly leave Llanview together they will have a supposed happy ending, although I’d love to see them work things out on screen for a while. I can’t agree with everyone you want to get rid of. I am looking forward to Rex and Adriana spicing things up in the “get back at Dorian” department and I am hopefully waiting for the joining of Jessica and Nash. I could certainly live without Vincent, but something tells me they might try to make him a good guy before we get to hate him too much. We’ll see. And as far as John wanting the gun more than he wants justice goes, getting that gun and punishing Spencer for his father’s death is John’s definition of justice and mine, too. I don’t know how long Michael Easton’s leave of absence will be. He did sign a new contract, or what some are calling an extension, so although I don’t believe he is going to die, there is no definite word on how long he’ll hang around.

Susan writes: “I am one of those who don't believe Todd is "in love" with Blair. I think she's "in his system" but more like an obsession. To let Blair go means to admit defeat of some sort. I think his attitude immediately afterward having sex with her when he said it meant nothing, had nothing to do with love, but was just sex could be the truth here. I know lots of couples that break up and have one last roll in the sack, which is what I saw between the two of them (she didn't even take her top off). I think the "old" Blair and the "new" Todd don't mix well... but they will have some relationship due to the children. Just another point of view for those of us who can't stand Evangeline and Cris and think their whole relationship (beyond the boxing) doesn't feel right.”

Dear Susan: I appreciate and respect your opinion about Todd and Blair, even though I don’t agree with you. In no way do I think Todd and Blair having sex was “one last roll in the sack.” I think that Blair being in Todd’s system does mean he’s still in love with her and I also think that there is no “new Todd.” If there were a new Todd, then he wouldn’t be pulling so many of his old tricks and acting like a jerk the way he always has when he wants something and thinks he can blackmail or bribe it out of someone. I have moments when I like and dislike Todd, but the basis of who he is hasn’t changed. He is still inappropriate in front of his kids (Blair has been, too) and let’s face it, he’s still one of the best eavesdroppers on daytime television. I hear he’s going to get a big surprise because they are looking to recast the role of Marty Saybrook. That should take a bit of the wind out of Todd’s sales. And even if you can’t stand Cris and Evangeline, I still think it’s a bit of a stretch to think that if Blair and Todd don’t work out he’ll wind up with Evangeline. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Gerry writes: “I love your questions and comments. I was wondering if it is possible to make your column "PRINTER FRIENDLY" ... I like printing it out and reading it when I have time to really enjoy reading the column... Thank you for all you comments.”

Dear Gerry: Thanks for writing and thank you very much for your kind words. I did ask Katherine Thurston (who runs this website) about printing out the articles and she said that they are already printable. Unfortunately you have to go to each screen and print them out individually from the link on the right hand side of each page that says, “Print this page.” I hope this helps and thanks for reading my drivel.
