Blair has Ross hiding in the cabana but he’s out sunning himself and is spied by Jack. Later, Todd heads outside and spies Ross just before he ducks inside the cabana without Todd seeing who he really is. Todd (who, LOL, wants nothing to do with Blair or her men) tries to get him to show himself and threatens to set the cabana on fire to get him out. This is how sick Todd really is. He douses the cabana with lighter fluid but doesn’t get to light it on fire before Blair gets wind of what he’s doing and stops him with a bucket of water. Oh, and Blair has miraculously gotten Chad, her boy toy from the country club, to get over there and climb in the window so Ross won’t be found out. Yeah, like that was realistic. Give me a break! Tea finally (again) realizes that Todd has to still care a lot for Blair or he wouldn’t care who she was hiding in the cabana and she breaks off the engagement. And of course, Todd has no idea what he did wrong. What else is new?
And Blair’s slutty ways never seem to amaze me when she finally confronts Ross; he lets her know he’s attracted to her and they wind up in a kiss. The fact that she even lets herself get that close to being compromised makes her look so bad.
So now John and Marty are together.
She finally realizes that she can put her awful past with Todd behind her and goes to comfort John, who is very upset about what happened to Shawn during the whole drug operation which he planned. Marty and John wind up making love. We’ll see how this couple works out. I’ve never been crazy about them as a couple. They never had a real start, but I guess I’ll wait and see as things develop. John will be involved with Natalie again on some level (stay tuned) so could it be that I will get to see something start up there again?
The stalker has started getting dangerous.
He or she sent another DVD to Jared and Natalie and again accuses them in Nash’s death and vows revenge. Nat heads over to the hospital to warn Jessica and Brody and the minute she leaves the office, Jared is attacked and beaten up. He gets to the hospital and collapses and I felt like he was just a bit indignant when Brody was questioning him about what happened. It seems that John is going to investigate and some of his findings will lead him to suspect Jared of some involvement. That’s what I mean about John and Natalie being involved again. Could I get my wish to have this couple together again one day, a wish I hated to give up? We’ll see.
There was a very nice montage at the end of one show last week.
It showed Matthew consoling Destiny in the chapel as she prayed for Shawn; it showed Jessica with Brody after their major ordeal and the part I liked best was Nora bringing Bo something to eat as he sat in his office alone after a harrowing day on the force. I wish these two would get together already.
See ya next week.
FAN FEEDBACK AND QUESTIONS
“Am I the only one who doesn't like the Greg/Rachel 'relationship'? I think Shawn is the sweetest most loyal of all the characters. Why would she want a relationship with such a creep, talented though he might be?”
Dear Pat: I have been against throwing Rachel and Greg together since he first came on the scene an even though I don’t see Rachel with Greg, it was very evident to me from the beginning that Shawn’s feelings for Rachel were at a level she wasn’t going to reach. We have no way of knowing what will happen in the future and right now Rachel claims she can’t be involved with Greg even though they are attracted to each other, but as sweet and lovable as Shawn is, you can’t feel what you don’t feel. The writers are trying to show a human side to Greg at this point, but I have to say that even when he broke down over what happened to Shawn during his surgery, it seemed more about him that his love for his brother. Just my opinion. Greg may or may not really be a creep, but he is far from being the human being I think Rachel needs in a man.
“I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the jailhouse scenes between Nora and Tea, as well as that extremely satisfying slap that Nora gave Tea. I've often thought that the writers sometimes forget who Nora is supposed to be and at times make her too nice, but THIS time they remembered who she is and then some and I LOVED it. One of my favorite things about her is her spunk and her dedication to her kids and they really showed that in spades in this episode. Tea would do well to pay attention since we all know she has a kid out there somewhere. I'm so glad they're FINALLY giving my favorite soap actress Hillary B. Smith some much deserved front burner time. Hopefully it keeps up.”
Dear Noraandbomagic: Nora is one of my favorites, too, and I have been waiting a long time to see her interact with Bo again. I don’t think the writers make Nora too nice; I just think that she always tries to do the right thing and be a good person and let’s face it, so many idiots in Llanview are the opposite of that. Nora has scruples, as do Bo, Viki and a few others, so it is nice to see them taking center stage for a change.
“Face it Jill, Destiny is a yenta! She's the youngest one I ever knew though. I don't know how much longer I can take this warm and fuzzy Todd. He's still a hypocrite, he acts wonderful with Tea but he's right back in form with anybody else. How can he even think he should be a father?”
Dear Judy: Oh, you have me laughing so hard because you hit the nail on the head. I know very well what a yenta is and although she means well, Destiny can make a pest of herself. As for Todd, was he ever warm and fuzzy? Maybe he plays at it for a few seconds at a time, but I never take it seriously. The idiot in him always comes out too quickly for me to believe there is a sincere or selfless bone in his body.
