I have to admit that as uninterested as I was in the return of Tina to the show, I am finding that she doesn’t annoy me nearly as much as she used to in the past. Maybe that’s because even though she is still a conniver, she does seem to have a little bit of a conscience these days. I’m sure I’m going to live to regret giving her a break, but that’s my feeling today. Her back is certainly up against the wall when it comes to keeping Tess’s secret. Tess had the right weapon when she let Tina know that she is aware that she stole the Crown Jewels of Mendorra and that if Tina revealed her plan to keep Natalie locked in the basement, she would alert those in Mendorra, including Carlo. Tina won’t do anything to put Sarah in danger and she knows Tess means business. At least Tina put aside her love and devotion for those diamonds and was more concerned about Sarah’s welfare. Once everyone found out that Carlo h ad escaped from jail, Tess had an even stronger hold over Tina than she did before. Kidnapping Cristian is just one step away from hurting Sarah and as hard as Tina tried to blurt out the truth when Clint came by, she couldn’t do it. I had a good laugh when Tina found out about Carlo’s escape and asked, “Doesn’t anyone build a decent prison any more?” Apparently not!
So, Natalie wakes up in her new home in the basement and finds Tess’s gift of photo memories, including a picture of Nash’s crumpled and bloody body. That was harsh. It didn’t take long for Natalie to figure out that Tess was in control and Tess made it very clear that she was going to hurt Natalie and Jared the way they hurt her and her children, by keeping them away from the one person in the world that they love more than anyone. She assures Natalie that she won’t kill her because death would be too easy. How comforting! Natalie realized just how deranged Tess is when Tess admitted to cutting the brakes on her car and poisoning the risotto she and Jared were about to eat. Tess doesn’t care at all that she nearly killed Viki, because as she sees it, Viki was responsible for all the terrible things that happened to Jessica in the first place.
Now Carlo has dumped Cristian in a Colombian prison, by coincidence (LOL) the same prison where Jared finds Ray Montez, Langston’s long lost uncle. Jared has seen Carlo, whom he doesn’t recognize, but hasn’t seen Cristian. Carlo has already figured out who Jared is and that he is not Jeb Stuart as he claims to be. Carlo is in one ridiculous disguise, so we’ll see what happens to him. I have decided that one of the most profitable jobs in the world is running a South American prison. Carlo paid off the warden to lock Cristian up and even worse, Jared paid off the warden to let Ray, a convicted murderer out of jail. I wonder what qualifications you need to be a warden down there.
Welcome to A Matinez. I can’t wait to see where this storyline takes his character, Langston and others. I hear he’s going to be in a relationship with Dorian. OMG, could that be possible? This man has not heard from his sister in about twenty years and didn’t even know that she (Langston’s mother) was dead. Now he has agreed to come to Llanview with Jared to claim Langston as his niece in exchange for getting out of prison. I can’t wait to see how this unfolds.
Clint is more like Asa every day, isn’t he? His attitude is just horrible. I couldn’t believe how easy it was for him to go ahead with his plan to get B.E. back, even when Jared called him from the prison to tell him that Ray Montez is a convicted murderer and asked him if he was sure he wanted to spring this guy on Langston. It was really cold and nasty when Clint didn’t even blink an eye and told Jared to go ahead with the plan and that he didn’t care about anything else. His only concern is that he gets the company back from Dorian. I hope this blows up in Clint’s face big time.
Any why hasn’t Nora thrown Clint’s butt out on the street yet? I think she needs to find out exactly what Clint has Jared doing. Now Markko has heard that Clint is somehow going to use Langston to get at Dorian, but will he catch on to what’s happening, or will he believe that Clint is not going to hurt Langston? Now that Dorian has announced that she wants to legally adopt Langston and Clint knows about it, he thinks he has even more ammunition to bring Dorian to her knees. And I love the way Clint justifies what he’s doing by blaming everything on Dorian. Sure, he talks to Nora about Dorian being responsible for Nash’s death, for Jessica’s troubles and, oh yeah, for his losing his company, but we all know that the company is #1 on that list of things he’s furious with Dorian about. Nora was right when she told him, “Asa would be so proud.”
Don’t you just hate how some things work out on soaps? Just as crazy officer Fish has completed the run on the program that would reveal Marty’s identity to John, Mr. Crooked Mayor pops into the police station because he hears that John is looking at the evidence from Ramsey’s murder. The mayor needs to get his hands on that evidence so that he can keep his dirty hands and the rest or his nasty self out of jail. Of course Fish calls John who rushes over to his office just a moment too late. The mayor has commandeered a master key and is sitting at John’s desk reclaiming the evidence as well as the computer and of course, the picture of Marty is lost. I HATE WHEN THAT HAPPENS! I was glad that John let the mayor know that he was on to him and knows that he’s dirty. The mayor was pretty stupid to be so adamant about protecting Todd every time John wanted to look into the Manning and Ramsey case.
