REFLECTIONS BY JILL for September 10, 2007

From Jill Berry, for About.com

And let me just reiterate what tons of fans say all the time. What the heck is wrong with the Llanview Police Department? Where does Bo have these guys trained, at the Keystone Cops Academy? First we had that idiot cop who was guarding Spencer’s hospital room door, who let everyone in to see Spencer without a second glance. Then we had the idiot cop who let Natalie in to see Miles against John’s instructions where she was able to talk him out of making a confession. And now, in the most ridiculous and “been there done that” soap opera scene, we have Todd faking illness and that idiot cop at the jail walking right into the cell so that Todd could knock him out and get up to Lindsay’s arraignment. Give me a break! Maybe Todd will get some real jail time now for what he did to that cop. That would make me feel better.

Of course all the trouble everyone went through to protect Marcie from hearing the truth in the most hurtful way went out the window when Todd burst in to the courtroom and declared that Tommy was his son. I really thought Marcie was going to find out at the jail when she went to try and visit Lindsay. I thought she would overhear Todd and Lindsay talking about Tommy, realize that it was true and head right out of town at that point. I guess I was wrong. I guess it only makes sense that the truth should be exposed in front of everyone in town. I wonder if Lindsay is even going to get to enter her plea.

And what will be the repercussions for Rex and Adriana. I can’t wait for Bo to get a hold of Rex because he already knows that Rex has been withholding information but this is so huge.

Do you like the idea of Rex and Adriana moving in together? I wonder what Dorian is going to say about that. I just wish we could get a good storyline going for this young couple because up until now they have made a nice couple and I know they love each other, but the relationship lacks sparks and doesn’t provide a whole lot of interest for me.

Moving on, you could tell how hard it was for Nash to tell Jessica that he lost all his money and wasn’t able to buy back Antonio’s share of the vineyard. I figured that Jessica wouldn’t make a big deal out of it and would love him no matter what, but it amazes me that so many fans don’t see that Nash is really a good guy. No matter how much Jessica tried to tell him that it didn’t matter and that she loved him no matter what, Nash couldn’t help but feel like he let her down and that because of what he did she wouldn’t be proud of him. I was sorry that he didn’t tell her that Clint lent him the money to buy Antonio out, but I am hoping that it comes out.

Now Nash and Jessica are going to have to contend with Jared and I can’t wait to see what happens this week when he shows up at their place. Jess should remember who he is because she has Tess’s memories. I can’t wait to find out what Tess did that Jared went to jail for and how things will unfold.

Nora seemed to be the only one with a smile on her face during this whole mess. Hey, who could blame her? Lindsay has done some horrible things to her and others in the past and Lindsay has killed before. As far as Nora is concerned, except for feeling bad for Bo because Lindsay is his so-called friend, she has no reason to feel bad for prosecuting Lindsay.

The coming week won’t be fun to watch. If there is one thing Kathy Brier does very well (among many things), it’s the way she knows how to pull the heartstrings. I can’t imagine how hurtful this Tommy situation is going to be for everyone involved. And I think Starr’s question to Blair invites a lot of speculation. She wondered if when Todd’s son finally came home if Blair would be his mother and they would be a family. Blair is going to be lucky if Todd lets her get within a mile of him. Maybe Blair should wise up and realize that might be a good thing.

See ya next week.

Jill
