We all knew that David was going to have the magic liver that would be a match for Jessica so that she could have another transplant, but sometimes resolutions are too ridiculous even for soap operas. I was wondering how Paige could keep a straight face when she faced the family and said they had found yet another match. Hey, what are the chances of there being not one, not two, but three matches in one small circle of family and friends? I guess it wasn’t dumb enough that after Viki’s liver was a match that couldn’t be used, Antonio would surprisingly also be a match. And then, miracle of miracles, not only is David a match, but he’s standing right there at the ready so that they can throw his butt on a gurney and haul him off to surgery. We can finally say that realism is totally non-existent on daytime television.

It is pretty darned funny that David is a match for Jessica. After all, there isn’t a more self-centered, greedy person in Llanview than David. Well, there is Dorian, but she at least has family that she would probably throw herself in front of a truck for. I had to laugh when Dorian mentioned the scar David would have and he said, “Scar? Nobody said anything about a scar. Will it be above the waist or below the waist because I don’t want people to laugh at me when I wear my Speedo.” Yes, that was typical, lovable David. Well, he was lovable up until the moment he blackmailed Clint into paying him the $10 million he didn’t get from Asa. Supposedly David will feel remorseful, but will he be able to make amends before he leaves Llanview? Will he be sorry for disappointing Viki?

And there was good old Dorian insinuating herself into every situation. Well, it is Clint’s fault for letting her hang around all the time, but we know he’s got no sense where women are concerned. Dorian couldn’t let five minutes go by without letting first Clint and then Viki know that she was the one who convinced David to be tested in the first place as a possible donor. Clint just ignores the fact that Dorian is obnoxious and Viki is so happy that there is another donor that she doesn’t care what Dorian has to say. Dorian and David really do belong together. Everything with them is about me, me, me. At least David is fun to deal with. Dorian, not so much.

And let’s talk about the impromptu wedding. Now don’t get me wrong. I love Nash and Jessica and I love the fact that they wanted to be married as soon as possible with Jessica’s life in danger. I also though Nash’s proposal was very sweet and I loved the scene where Clint pulled him aside and wanted assurance that he would always take care of Jessica. Nash’ reaction was adorable when he thought for a second and then actually asked for Jessica’s hand while promising that he would always do his best to make her happy. I just got the feeling that everybody was taking the wedding a little too seriously while Jessica’s life was ebbing away in that bed. I could see a few vows spoken in front of the minister, but it was quite silly to have all that hoopla, like Roxy coming in with her makeup kit and Natalie running to find a florist when a moment before that Paige was saying that she’s like it if Jessica had a stronger pulse. Duh, why were they surprised when she started to code right after the ceremony? The wedding was just a bit too silly; although I am happy Jessica and Nash are married and hope for a big shindig when she’s well again.

I felt sorry for Bo once he found out that Asa was the original designer behind the plan that involved that $10 million. I laughed because yes, Bo has arrested his Pa before, but Pa has never truly paid for any of his crimes. I know Bo is upset, but this isn’t any different than what Asa has done in the past. Let’s not forget that this wasn’t the first murder contract Asa has put out. He did pay Roarke to kill Ben before he knew that Ben was his long lost son.

How long does Miles think he’s going to be able to go on with nobody catching on to what he’s up to? Cole surely isn’t going to keep his secret much longer. And you just knew that when John and that cop stopped Miles making a mad dash in Marty’s car, Todd would not be in that trunk. I enjoyed John taking Miles into the police station and annoying him with a speeding ticket, even if he couldn’t make any charges stick right now. It’s fun to watch Miles’ world fall apart.

Hey, how stupid was it when Miles was getting into Marty’s car and used the key to open the door, then we saw that the window was wide open when he pulled the door closed? That sure made using the key look stupid. Who was directing that scene?
