REFLECTIONS BY JILL for July 2, 2007From Jill Berry And Natalie sure looked lonely and bored in her new Buchanan office, didnt she? Hopefully someone will teach her more than how to order coffee. One good thing has happened though. Natalie has not been showing off most of her upper body since she got that job and that has to be a good thing. Growing up and dressing properly are new concepts for her. I hope they stick, but she needs to get a clue about Miles. She has befriended him way too quickly and now he wants to start a charitable foundation and wants to use his friendship with her to get Buchanan backing. Big mistake. Open your eyes Nat!
So now we have some information about Todd and Blair is hot on his trail. Too bad she dragged herself all the way to Chicago to find Todds bed empty, but at least we got to find out a little about what Sarahs involvement is. At least she tried to do the right thing and it was no surprise that Miles was behind the whole thing. Something serious turned hysterically funny when Hunter knocked on Miles door and nonchalantly dragged in Todd in a body bag. Maybe he was able to drag Todd to a car and make the drive to Llanview, but how funny was it that he was able to drag the body bag into an apartment building and get it upstairs to Miles door? Its a wonder anyone ever gets caught committing crimes in Llanview. I cant wait to see how Miles handles the new bundle he now has in his possession. He better hope Marty doesnt come home before he finds a place for Todd. Its still a mystery as to who killed Spencer and although John and Marty didnt solve the mystery with their visit to the scene of the crime, I guess eventually they will figure it out. We know that Marty didnt kill Spencer, but who did? I have given up on Adriana. That girl refuses to see what is right in front of her where Tate is concerned. Hes playing her like a fiddle and even though everyone has told her to beware of Tate, she still defends him, even to Layla who is her friend and business partner. She should distance herself from Tate for many reasons and instead, she is doing exactly what Rex accused her of doing. She is trusting Tate like she trusted Bruce last year and she wound up almost killed and almost getting Rex killed in the bargain. Tate sure isnt happy with his father and that visit he made to Statesville sure didnt do anything to change his mind about the disgusting life he has chosen. He doesnt seem to care that his father threatened to expose him if he keeps hurting people in the name of purity. It was nice and also very sad to watch Lindsay honoring Jens birthday. It is obvious that Lindsays trouble in dealing with the loss of Jen is bringing her closer to Bo whom she can confide in since he can empathize with he since losing Drew. I dont really care for Lindsay and Bo winding up together romantically again. For me it falls into that category of been there, done that, suffered the consequences. Bo is a wonderful, caring guy who has never been good at figuring out the women in his life (not since Nora anyway). And once again I have to hand it to Roxy for making me laugh. I loved her little discussion with Miles at the bar where she told him, I knew your brother. He was an ass. That about sums it up, doesnt it? And Miles deserved the Roxy treatment (never holding back), when she asked him about his recent marriage and asked him, Where did you take your vows of hole acrimony? Roxy has no idea that even though she botched that question, the acrimony part fits Miles and Marty so well. But I loved nothing more than the way she got under his skin when she kept going on about how Marty and John were more than professional acquaintances and that Johnny McBain was like a magnet with the ladies. I love anything that annoys Miles. Hes so arrogant. So, Vincent wants a second chance with Layla. How well can this turn out? All of a sudden Natalie asks him to go out with her, after hes been wanting her since before Johns accident, and now he just makes an about face and says he wants to be with Layla. Layla is going to give him another chance and she should be careful. Shes very vulnerable right now since she has to deal with basically losing her sister with Evangeline in the coma. Id hate to see her get hurt if Vincent hasnt decided to play it totally straight with her. In closing, I have to say my favorite scene of the week was when David, Viki and Dorian were at Vikis bedroom door with David trying to get rid of Dorian. I just about died laughing when Dorian said she was going to rescue David from Vikis clutches and he said, I like Vikis clutches just fine as he took Vikis hand and placed it right on his butt. The most hysterical part was that even though you could see the tiny hint of surprise on Vikis face, she didnt move that hand a bit. You go, Viki! See ya next week.
