Dorian Lord

I just have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed watching Dorian make a total fool of herself at her party for Markko’s graduation. She had a mighty good head start on her drinking (not to mention the pill she popped) before any of the guests even showed up. She was so consumed with her own anger over Ray taking Lola and leaving town that she didn’t give a thought to pulling herself together for Langston’s sake.

So, where do I begin? I guess a good place to start (and the beginning of the debacle) was her first meeting with Markko’s parents when she mistook them for the hired help. I thought that was pretty awful but I knew in my heart that it was going to get a whole lot worse when she started making fun of the fact that Markko’s first name is Geraldo. But no, that wasn’t the worst, was it? I knew where Dorian was heading and although I died a little inside for Langston and Markko, my hand flew over my mouth and I died laughing when she spilled the beans about Lola tampering with the condoms she gave Langston for prom night. Could she have said anything worse? I don’t think so.

And let’s talk for a minute about Markko’s parents. Are you kidding me? Are these people living in the dark ages? Okay, I can see that they were upset because Markko didn’t tell them he was planning to have sex with his girlfriend and lied about where he would be that night, but COME ON! This young man is eighteen years old and obviously has done nothing but make his parents proud as the valedictorian of his graduation class. So they forbid him to see Langston any more because obviously to them she is no better than a hooker on the corner with a mother who thinks it is okay for her daughter to be a tramp. OMG! These people just make me howl with laughter because you just know that down the line (if they stick around long enough) we’re going to find out that they have some perverted secrets of their own, or at least that they were burning up the sheets long before they were married.

Dorian deserved what she got when Langston threw her into the pool and she deserved a lot more than the hangover and looking like the hung over bride of Frankenstein the next morning. I can’t wait to see how she handles trying to get Moe, Noelle and Shawn to come back after she threw them out on the street.

Was there a happier face in Llanview than Starr’s when she finally had her baby back in her arms? It takes quite a human being to do what Marcie did. All her life she wanted a family and after losing Tommy she was so devastated. But she is one of those people who have a heart of gold and she knew that Starr was heartbroken about giving the baby up. Starr has just as big a heart as Marcie because she was willing to let that baby go because she wouldn’t break her promise to Marcie.

I have to say that I think it is a shame that we have to lose Marcie and Michael. This is a couple that could have had such good storylines and they were wasted. They did get a beautiful sendoff though. Michael told Marcie that he’d like to leave Llanview and start over somewhere else and he just happened to get an offer from Seattle Grace Hospital. That was a cute little plug by ABC since Seattle Grace is the Hospital on ‘Grey’s Anatomy.’ I was waiting for Michael to say he was offered a position there because Izzie and George were leaving. (FYI, I did just read that T.R. Knight was let out of his contract so bye bye George; see, you get OLTL and Grey’s info here; LOL!) I had heard that Michael and Marcie would be leaving with some very wonderful news and I figured it would be that Marcie would finally get to have her own child. That scene where Michael came home and found the home pregnancy test was adorable. Hey, we know Marcie was told she could never have her own children but if a slime bucket like Spencer can be stabbed to death and come back to life, surely Marcie can have a baby. I hated seeing Michael saying good-bye to John. I love those McBain brothers.

Well, it wasn’t all good news where Starr and the baby were concerned. Cole runs into that little creep Asher, whose hot shot lawyer father got him out of trouble when he was arrested at the prom for selling drugs. Cole was having a hard time dealing with everything and Asher played on his weakness, sticking a bag of pills in Cole’s pocket. It just figures that as Cole is in the act of tossing out the pills, he’s caught by a cop. Oh boy! Cole is arrested and of course that means mandatory prison time and even when Nora stands up for him in court and tries to get him more probation instead of jail time, the judge only reduces his sentence from five years to one (with good behavior). Cole went to Starr’s house the next morning and was shocked and thrilled that Starr got the baby back, but he had to tell Starr about being arrested. Poor Starr; hasn’t this young woman been though enough? Of course she will stand by Cole, who shocked her by getting down on one knee and proposing marriage.
