Robert Ford

So, somebody finally got sick and tired enough of Ford and his abuse of young women and tried to do him in. I guess they didn’t try hard enough because the creep is still alive even after being bludgeoned with one of his many silly trophies. Funny, none of them looked like an Emmy or an Oscar to me. I’m just saying.

So, once again we have a whodunit. Markko has been arrested for the crime and since all the evidence so far points to him, like his broken hand, his bloody sneakers in the dumpster and his rage over Ford sleeping with Langston, we know he didn’t do it. Although she threatened to kill him, I don’t think Langston did it either. Then we have Karen the pizza girl and I think this dumb girl was really okay with having a friends with benefits relationship with Ford, so I don’t think she did it either. There are probably tons of other young women we don’t even know about, but my money is on Hannah. After all, she is the one who was so desperate over Ford giving her the boot that she tried to kill herself. So, I guess we wait and see how it all unfolds. Oh, and don’t forget about Jessica who is very uneasy about having been in Ford’s bed shortly before he was attacked. She is having a hard time trying not to admit that that’s how she got her memory back.

Langston has to finally come forward and admit to Starr that she never ended her affair with Ford, even after she swore on their friendship. Apparently, that meant more to Starr than to Langston. Starr was very upset and angry and rightfully so. Langston put her and Cole in a position of lying to Markko and putting all their relationships in jeopardy. Langston also had to admit to Dorian that she was involved with Ford and Dorian immediately went the protective mother route, even trying to keep the cops from questioning Langston. Dorian is funny; she thinks being mayor makes her the boss of everyone.

Speaking of Jessica, I’m thrilled she finally got her memory back. I actually care more that her ridiculous cruise through her teen is over than I do about her getting her life back at this point. I’m glad that Bree got her mom back and that Brody got Jessica back, but now we have even more secrets, like Brody and Natalie’s roll in the hay. I am really disgusted with the writers over this one. Not only do I hate the fact that Natalie has once again regressed by sleeping with Brody, but I think it is pretty awful that they involved Brody in that little pity party. I would never think he would do that, especially ten minutes after a confrontation with Jessica.

My biggest problem with what Natalie and Brody did is that it now taints John and Natalie’s reunion, which I, as well as many other fans, have been waiting for. Sure, I was happy to see John and Natalie reunited at the airport and I especially loved when he finally said, “I don’t know what we’ve been doing the last few years, but you belong with me.” So we have to balance being thrilled that they are back together and always be waiting for the other shoe to drop when it comes out that Natalie and Brody slept together. I hate that.

Rex finally found out the truth about his parents when Penny gets him and Gigi out of jail. She gives them information from Otto’s secret box, which leads them to a house where they find a cradle filled with old letters sent between his parents. Sure, twenty five or so years later that stuff would just be sitting there waiting for Rex right?

So they read the letters and find out that his parents were really in love. Rick, Rex’s father was forced to go work for a man to whom his father owed a big gambling debt, so he had to leave Lily for a while. It turns out that Otto was really in love with Lily but he knew she loved only Rick. Rick and Lily kept writing with her waiting for him to come home and she finds out she is pregnant. The letters are intercepted and Rick is forced to write Lily and tell her he has met someone else and doesn’t want her any more. Lily is distraught and that’s when she leaves the baby (Rex) at the hospital. The man who was controlling Rick was the father of a girl Rick had left so he was furious that Rick was involved with Lily. He forced Rick to stay and when Lily showed up he told her he had killed Rick. After leaving the baby at the hospital, Otto claims that Lily died of a broken heart. What a mess. But Rick was actually alive, so where is he today?
