FAN FEEDBACK AND QUESTIONS

Joyce writes: “This week I believe that Jessica has sunk to her lowest. I have never been a big fan of her and Nash. I still believe he is up to something. He just doesn't strike me as being sincere. However, Jessica has really gone off the deep end. The way she is behaving with Nash while Jamie is in the hospital shows too much of "Tess". Instead of being in Todd's office tearing off her clothes, she needs to be at the hospital with Jamie. If Nash were any kind of good person, he would leave her alone until she settles things with Antonio. I am not a great fan of cheating. I think the writers need to write in a little more self-control. It seems the first thing people do when they kiss is to start tearing off each other's clothes. It’s a little over the top.”

Dear Joyce: I agree that Jessica and Nash need to exhibit some more self-control in these situations and probably should have kept their hands off each other until she straightened things out with Antonio, but this is a soap opera and people on soaps don’t always think with their heads, if you get my drift. I don’t think Nash is a bad person at all. I think he’s a good guy who is very much in love with someone who returns his feelings and he is more than impatient to be with her, especially since he’s also unable to live with his daughter under the current situation. I’m not a fan of cheating either and I don’t condone it, but like I’ve said before, I am torn about a lot of things in this storyline, mainly when it comes to all the people who stand to get hurt, but I think Jessica and Nash belong together and it’s a shame that Jessica just wasn’t ready to make life decisions when she went ahead and married Antonio.

Selene writes: “Why are they doing this Antonio? He is a good guy! Jessica and Nash are acting like two dogs in heat.”

Dear Selene: I guess this is “hate Jessica and Nash week.” But that’s okay. I think everyone and every viewpoint deserves a voice. I never said Antonio was a bad guy. And before Nash came on the scene, I was happy to see Jessica and Antonio together. Antonio’s history with a terrible temper has been a problem in the past and I think we’re going to see that temper in action again soon. Antonio is doing everything in his power to deny that he knows Jessica has feelings for Nash. He can’t deal with it so he blames the whole mess on Nash. And honestly, I believe that if Jessica really didn’t have feelings for Nash that Nash could see so obviously, he would have had to give up on her a long time ago. Nash knows how she feels about him and that’s why he can’t give up.

Danelle writes: “I cannot believe the fans (and you!!) are pulling for Jessica and Nash to be together... What a nothing bum he is... Always sponging off of others... Now, I guess he can be bankrolled for the rest of his life by the trust-fund queen. Good Lord. I hope Antonio has the sense to call in his loan for the, er, "winery." God forbid NASH himself would actually raise a finger to make his own living. What a terrible pair.”

Danelle writes: Why can’t you believe we are pulling for Jessica and Nash? Obviously, you are referring to Nash with his past with Claudia in mind. Sure, some people never change, but I don’t see Nash as one of those people, or as a bum that sponges off of others. I remember that either Claudia’s father or someone in Jessica’s family offered Nash a big, fat check to leave town and he ripped it up. Yes, Antonio did bankroll the construction of Nash’s winery in Llanview as an investment, but Nash never asked for a nickel from Antonio. Antonio offered Nash the job at Capricorn and Nash actually worked. So what’s the big deal? If you think Nash’s attraction to Jessica is at all based on money, you need to go back and watch them all over again.

Lori writes: “I don't feel bad for Antonio. He pressured Jess to marry him because I think deep down she was only halfheartedly into him. Also Viki put pressure on her, too. Then when Antonio felt he was losing her he put pressure on her to adopt Jamie. Next he'll want to adopt Bree and wipe Nash out of the picture. He has to get real, asking Jess if she loves Jamie as much as she loves Bree. He just wants to play the big game of let’s pretend. Then by having a screaming fit not letting her get a word in edgewise he managed to get what he wanted not hearing the truth.”

Dear Lori: Well, you knew I had to give some time to the voices that love Jessica and Nash as well as the ones who don’t. I couldn’t agree more than Antonio has been burying his head in the sand. And I believe a while ago Antonio did mention that he wanted to adopt Bree and have his nice little family all wrapped up. At the time, I remember thinking he had a lot of nerve assuming he could adopt another man’s child, especially with that other man firmly planted in that child’s life. Jessica said it best when she told Nash how Antonio was so protective of his family and for sure, he doesn’t want to know the truth.
