Boy, Stacy is one lucky little crook so far, isn’t she? Even though Schuyler did everything but spill that bag of Stacy’s blood at Rex’s feet, Rex refused to believe that Stacy could be anything but the little angel she thinks she is. Wouldn’t you think that Rex, being such a good private investigator, would see by this time that something smells rotten in Denmark? I know his only concern is that Shane get well, but come on Rexy, wake up and smell the rotten stem cells.
I’m also getting very sick of Gigi playing the victim. All of a sudden she has found God and although that would be a wonderful thing in and of itself, the writers just continue to annoy me by making Gigi so single minded when it comes to the Almighty reacting to her behavior. Sure, God is giving Stacy Carte blanche to destroy everyone lives but Gigi can’t tell the truth and have her family back. Somehow, I don’t think it works that way.
I really loved it when Schuyler packed Stacy’s bags and tossed her out, but does anyone doubt that she’ll wind up at Rex’s place in about five minutes and that he’ll gladly give her a place to park her broom? I did enjoy it when Schuyler said to Stacy, “I already kicked drugs and now it’s time to get another monkey off my back, you!”
At least Gigi gave Brody permission to come clean with Jessica and tell her why he “appeared” to be sleeping with another woman. I didn’t think it would take Jessica very long to believe the story because hey, she’s a Buchanan and in her family, a convoluted story like Stacy blackmailing Gigi and holding her son’s life for ransom is child’s play compared to what she’s seen the Bukes do over the years. Jessica and Brody finally give in to their feelings and make love. I still don’t know how I feel about this. I guess Jessica deserves a bit of happiness because her world is about to come crashing down around her when her baby is taken away from her. Hopefully, her relationship with Brody will be one of the things that help her get through her next ordeal. It didn’t take long for her and Brody to get caught sneaking around. You can’t keep much from Viki for too long.
I wonder what’s in story for Roxy. She thought it would be so easy to walk into John Doe’s room and pull the plug on him. She surprised even me when she was able to follow those directions she printed out and correctly turned off all the alarms. But too bad for Roxy; John Doe was as alive as you and me when the nurse came in and he just happened to pop up in the bed. Has this show gone past stupid or what? Or have we all just lost our minds trying to follow the stuff they are throwing at us? And why are the hospital employees at all the soap hospitals so easy to manipulate? Obviously, John Doe got the nurse to tell Roxy he was dead when he was very much alive, just like Todd was able to manipulate Dr. Joplin to do his dirty work. Won’t Roxy be surprised that her mission failed?
Let’s move on to Starr and Cole, or should I say the next ridiculous storyline. Are these kids crazy? I can’t believe that Starr took it upon herself to be the one person to get Cole through withdrawal. She may have a lot of life experiences for a young woman, but she is in no way equipped to handle what Cole is going through and it was pretty ridiculous that she was hiding him in her room and following the research she did on how to get Cole through the next 48 hours. She’s lucky he didn’t really hurt her when he was so desperate to get his hands on some pills. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why Cole has not been confined to that rehab facility and put through the withdrawal phase right away. There isn’t one realistic thing about this storyline. To complicate matters even more, Todd has won temporary custody of his kids and now Starr has to leave Cole by himself in her room because Todd demanded she come with him. I was hoping they would be able to get out the window, but Cole just couldn’t make it.
I don’t even want to think about how many times I was almost sick last week when Todd and Tea couldn’t keep their hands off each other. They are one nauseating pair and honestly, in those scenes, Tea annoys me more than Todd. She has absolutely no self- respect and she deserves whatever she gets from him. I had to laugh when the judge sat there and gave Todd everything he wanted. Tea should want to kill Todd for making a fool of her by turning off her phone and having sex with her so she wouldn’t get the call saying that they had a new judge. But I’m sure she’ll go back for more whenever Todd crooks his little finger. I laughed when the hearing was over and Tea said, “Todd, did you sleep with the judge, too?” She is pathetic.
And of course Todd didn’t waste any time running over to Dorian’s to pick up his kids. Jack was overjoyed and this kid gets scarier every day. He is so much like his father that it makes my skin crawl. Todd certainly shows how much he loves his kids, doesn’t he? Sure, it was quite normal for him to threaten to call the cops to get Starr to go home with him. She should have made him call the cops but she was afraid they would find Cole in the house. Too bad! So she went with her dear daddy and Todd had a room full of expensive bribes to greet his kids. I’m sure he thinks that qualifies him for Father of the Year. Starr is frantic that Cole is alone and she tries everything to get Todd to let her go home but her refused. Starr had another one of her discussions with Todd where sadly, she wondered just how much of a chip off the old block she was when she decided to give Marcie her baby partly to spite her father. Sadly, Starr does have a little bit of her dad in her from all those years she was his little protégé, but the difference is that she grew up to know better and do better. Her dad never learned. Finally, Starr had to admit that she was having an issue with Cole and Cole is back in her room going through withdrawal all alone, hallucinating about all the people he hurt. How awful was that?
