FAN FEEDBACK AND QUESTIONS

Cathryn writes: “I have to agree with you on how Todd has been recently with Starr and Langston. Langston is not his daughter but he verbally and physically torments her and Blair stands there silently and offers a measly apology for all that she has to put up with living there. Where is Dorian in all of this and why isn't she protecting "one of her girls"? If I were Langston, I would toughen up and threaten to report Todd to the authorities the next time he "strong armed" me. He should not be grabbing that girl and rummaging through HER personal belongings the way he does and it looks like adults can harass any kid that isn't theirs. Langston wouldn't have to live the way she does if Todd didn't live there. The poor girl was given a family and a home and it has been nothing short of chaos. I am deeply disappointed in Talia and John hooking up at the motel. I had more respect for Talia and don't know why she kept trying to talk to Antonio when she had feelings for John. I am SO OVER Adriana’s never ending jealousy over Gigi and her obsession with Shane and Rex hanging out together that I can't wait until her exit next month. Layla needs to back off and stay out of her business because the girl has nothing better to do with her time. Her beau hasn't been seen around town lately. Are they even together?”

Dear Cathryn: I have to agree with you. I think one of the most horrible things about Todd is the way he treats Langston and is allowed to get away with it. I feel sorry for this young woman because she is taking what Todd dishes out because she is terrified of the alternative, which for her would be foster care or a group home. It is bad enough that Blair stands by and lets Todd get away with abusing Langston (as well as his own daughter), but Dorian should really be called on the carpet for being so absorbed in her own self-serving life that she is not around her own home enough to see what is happening to this young woman whom she took under her wing and promised a good and loving home. As for John and Talia, I don’t believe for a minute that they are romantically involved. I believe that they are in cahoots with each other to bring down Ramsey and hopefully he will dig his own grave. Whether or not Antonio will team up with them or secretly already has done so remains to be seen. I’ve had enough of Adriana. She’s spoiled, obnoxious and downright mean and nasty and she will be gone soon with an ending that won’t be pretty. I also agree that Layla should back off. I know she wants to be a good friend, but she’s just annoying me, too. And Tobias Truvillion (the actor who plays Vincent) has been put on recurring status. I don’t know if or when we will see him again.

Peggy writes: “I think this whole John-Antonio-Talia triangle is a set-up to catch Ramsey. Have you noticed that all of their confrontations take place in front of cops, whether it's the station, Carlotta's diner, or Capricorn? There is never a private scene between Antonio and Talia, Talia and John, etc. So I believe that the three of them are staging all of this so that Antonio can get close to Ramsey and get the goods on him. What do you think?”

Dear Peggy: I believe that John and Talia are already working together and I don’t think Antonio has teamed up with them, at least not yet. Also, now that John and Talia are working together, Antonio has been partnered with that cop, Eddie, so maybe that’s why they are always together and Eddie is always around.

Eric writes: “I've just gotten through reading your personal commentary for this week and I was not pleased with your remarks regarding Layla. It seems to me that she was doing what any friend does. She's trying to look out for them when no one else could. She's exactly the main reason why I watch One Life to Live; and as for you trashing Layla like that, I think it's just plain despicable.”

Dear Eric: Oh, come on. You call what I said “trashing Layla?” What is this, the old Soviet Union? Is someone going to come and send me to Siberia for having an unpopular opinion? By the way, I’m not sure my opinion is that unpopular. You know, it has always been very wise advice to stay out of the affairs of the heart of your friends because they will love you for volunteering information when they are on the outs with their mates and then hate you for passing judgment when they patch things up. I know that Layla is trying to be a good friend and telling Adriana what she sees isn’t so bad; it is when she makes her pointed comments to John and Rex that I think she is overstepping her rights as Adriana and Talia’s friend. I don’t think she had a right to make that comment to John about him dumping her sister for Natalie and I don’t think she has the right to pump Antonio for information about why he is letting Talia hang out with John under his nose. Hey, just my opinion like yours is just yours.
