FAN FEEDBACK AND QUESTIONS
Cathryn writes: I am sick of Blair and everyone taking her side - I'm even more "over" hearing about how she and Todd belong together. These two have played this roller coaster game with one another for years and its time to end it permanently. I feel Todd should be the one out and about with different ladies every now and then and Blair should be the one who can't get a date because she's so poisonous. It's no secret I hate Blair and she could fall off the mountain and never return! I don't like Cristian either - the man never has anything to offer anyone and is always broke and in between jobs. He lacks a sense of humor and needs to skip town for a while along with Natalie...the ever-smothering "mother" who relentlessly tries to protect John all the damn time. Miles needs to get a life now and focus on working and getting settled in and not dating at the moment. If he does, steer clear of Blair and Marty and meet someone new...perhaps a new character...someone interesting.
Dear Cathryn: Im pretty sick of Blair myself and I think she and Todd have become very boring to say the least, but I dont now if I would go so far as to say she should fall off the mountain and never return. I dont really care for Cristian much either but I really havent seen much to like about him since the old days when he was a kid in love with Jessica. I guess, at least for now, you dont have to worry about Natalie being the ever-smothering mother to John. I hope she develops some self-respect and lets John stew in the bed he has made for himself. And as far as Miles goes, he definitely needs some help dealing with his anger like a lot of other people in Llanview. If he sticks around, Id like to see him be a positive addition to Llanview and not another psychopath. We have enough of those for sure.
Valerie writes: Having David back, if only for a short time, is a breath of fresh air. I didn't realize how much I missed that character until he surfaced again. Do you know how long he'll be around? TPTB should try and find some way to keep him or at least have him on recurring status. He's brings such a light, comedic tone to the show and it desperately needs that once in awhile. On another note, I really enjoy the Starr and Cole storyline. It's nice to get a teen perspective into the issues they deal with. And, I think those actors are doing a remarkable job. I am tired of seeing a lot of the women in skimpy, low-cut tops that practically expose themselves. I know this is mainly with the younger actresses, but please, they look like they are going to a college party instead of being young adults doing more serious things.
Dear Valerie: I couldnt agree more about David. I havent heard anything about him staying around after this short return is over, but I would love to have him hang around forever. So much of the show is dark these days and he does brighten up everything. Im not the biggest fan of the teen storylines, but whenever I get to see Kristen Alderson spread her wings as Starr, I enjoy it. Shes a great young actress and although I dont totally approve of how far theyve let these teens go, I think she does a great job with whatever is given to her.
Brenda writes: I read your column and agreed with everything about Evangeline. I have never seen such a hypocrite before on this show. She tells Cristian that she and Todd are friends and nothing more and she still loves him and then not even an hour later was kissing Todd. It is a shame what they have done to this character. She is no longer someone I can like on this show. She has no respect for her past relationship or Cristian and even more importantly for herself.
Dear Brenda: I do believe that TPTB have truly made too many negative changes in Evangeline for us to think about her the same way we used to. Her choices and decisions just dont make sense any more and frankly, I dont think she has a clue about what she really wants, unless she really wants Todd deep down and knows hes a waste as a human being and she shouldnt feel the way she does about him. Now were going to see her in this new storyline about the hate crimes. Have we been over-saturated with Evangeline? Im getting to think so.
