Reflections by Jill - A Weekly Commentary for OLTL for April 1, 2008

Speaking of Bo, it’s obvious that he and Clint are going to butt heads over how they do business at B.E. Bo has a huge honorable streak and Clint feels that in business you sometimes have to step over the line. I found it very interesting because at first Clint was against taking and using dirt from Lindsay, but now he seems much more at ease doing just that and it won’t end here. Bo really does understand what Clint is doing, but he said it all when he told Clint, “I know you feel you had to do it, but you didn’t have to like it.” I hope Bo goes back to being commission soon because he’s not cut out for the cloak and dagger business life that Asa Buchanan left as a legacy and Clint is enjoying his power a bit too much. It seems that Clint doesn’t have any problem getting in the mud when he feels he has to.

Now the Buchanans are heading up to the cabin and what else could happen but a snowstorm to keep Nora, Bo, Lindsay, Clint, Nigel and Matthew away from the cabin long enough for Jared and Natalie to get cozy. Jared is about to tell Natalie the truth and I can’t wait to see the fallout. Stay tuned! In case you didn’t know it, David Vickers will be heading back to Llanview soon. I don’t know how long he’ll be around, but you can be sure there will be trouble because once again, David will be down on his luck. Big surprise! Will he finally find out he’s the newest Buchanan?

I can’t wait to see what happens when Charlie’s secret is revealed along with Jared’s, or will it be revealed? What will Viki do? She is so taken with Charlie right now and she does know that there are things he is keeping to himself right now that he won’t discuss with her yet. She’s content to take things one day at a time but she’s counting on the fact that he’s been honest and honorable with her. The last thing Viki wants to do is to be humiliated and when the poop hits the fan, Dorian will definitely be sure to milk it for all it is worth. No one is more forgiving than Viki, but this secret is very far reaching because not only has Charlie been duping her and Rex, but Natalie has gotten hurt badly by Jared in the bargain and that’s not something that will sit well with Viki. Now Charlie will be working for B.E. Wow, this gets stickier by the day.

Clint didn’t seem too happy to see Viki and Charlie kissing in the boardroom at B.E. did he? He had just finished telling Charlie that none of the Buchanans want to see Viki hurt. Watch out Charlie! Is Clint thinking that if he doesn’t have Viki no one else should?

Has Nash taken leave of his senses in his desire to become a success in his own right? I kind of think so. Jessica is worried about him. Part of her is worried about his involvement with his new benefactors, but a big part of her is also a bit miffed that Nash is spending so much time on his business and less with her. There are things that I don’t think Jessica can totally understand because she’s never been in a position where she has to worry about surviving and Nash certainly has. She has basically led a charmed life, growing up in the lap of luxury and having a good career if she wanted it provided by two huge family businesses, not to mention a family that loves and takes care of her. Jessica wants Nash to spend more time with her and Bree and he needs to make a success of himself for himself and his family. It’s too bad that he’s probably going to have major problems because he’s a bit blinded by ambition.

Marcie is having a hard time adjusting to her new life, or her lack of one. Michael is so busy being back at the hospital and she doesn’t know what to do with herself. I was disappointed in her when she brought up the subject of forgiveness with Michael again. I think he paid enough for not telling her about Tommy’s paternity. His life was basically destroyed because he did something out of love for his wife and son and it is obvious that she has not quite forgiven him for lying to her. She thinks he might not have forgiven her for all she did but it’s obvious that he stuck by her through everything and he’s still around. She needs to be grateful that she is not in prison and find something worthwhile to do with her time. Michael has paid enough in my opinion.

Hey, for those of you that love the old Paris, Texas crew, I’m happy to say that Noelle and Moe will be back on the canvas soon. I don’t know how long they’ll be around but we’ve seen lots of characters that weren’t supposed to stick and wind up doing just that and I hope the same happens with these two adorable characters.
