FAN FEEDBACK AND QUESTIONS

Ann writes: “I am a long time John & Natalie fan and I am upset about the possibility of them going their separate ways. It is obvious that the fans like them together and want to see them in a long-term relationship, possibly marriage. I hope so. The writers of the show should respect what the watching audience would like to see. I hate the fact that they are pushing them apart after all they have been through and pushing Vincent & Natalie together. I know you are a fan of John & Natalie also, so I hope we get our wish.”

Dear Anne: I am also getting tired of all the roadblocks being thrown in John and Natalie’s path. It’s about time we saw some positive and permanent changes in this couple but the more time that goes by, the more it seems like they won’t make it to the finish line. I hope that’s not the way it will turn out. I can’t even think about Vincent being near Natalie without getting steaming mad. He is such an opportunist and a waste of good airtime. I hope we get our wish and see some happiness for John and Natalie, too, but we’re smart enough not to hold our breath, aren’t we?

Jamie writes: “The “real” Antonio. You just can’t give this guy a break, can you? I mean, everyone else on the show is allowed to grow and change, but you expect Antonio to stay the same? It just does not seem fair to me. I hope when he does find out the truth about Jessica and Nash, he rakes them both over the coals, including taking the winery away from Nash. That would be justice in my book after everything Antonio has done for Nash.”

Dear Jamie: Honestly, I don’t think there are too many characters on soaps, include One Life to Live that ever change that much and that is why I don’t see Antonio’s recent transformation into the nice, accepting, never jealous husband as realistic. Obviously, Antonio is now suspicious with good reason and although I love Jessica and Nash, I wouldn’t blame Antonio if he does rake them over the coals and takes everything away from Nash that he has given him. That would be what I call “the real Antonio” and he would be justified in being furious over having been betrayed.

Cathryn writes: “I am disgusted by Blair's attitude towards Todd. She must be as nuts as her mother Addie. First she plans and schemes to win Todd and her family back then she falls off the roof with Spencer and lands in the hospital near death and all of a sudden she wants nothing to do with Todd. Ok...what gives? If they killed this woman off it wouldn't be too soon for me. I'm not feeling the love for Blair anymore and the way she was pushing Marty around like two teenagers in an after-school fight was nauseating! Why didn't Marty sock her in the face? If Blair was well enough to push people around she was well enough to be pushed around herself!” And I loved the scenes with Spencer and pulling everyone together for one final farewell...the man is classic! My favorite reading of the will went to Dorian - and second to Paige ("Don't drink and slice") Classic!! Spencer was sickening for awhile but the man was very funny.”

Dear Cathryn: Actually, I think it was pretty unrealistic, too, that Blair was near death one day and was out terrorizing Marty the next. Maybe Marty should have socked her in the face. Lots of times I think Blair deserves it. I don’t particularly care for Marty, but Blair is just a wild woman lately and she’s going to alienate everyone who is important to her, especially Starr, if she hasn’t already. And regarding Spencer, I have to say that he was a lot easier to take in death than he was in life. I did have quite a few laughs at his bequests to everyone, except the really cruel think he did to Todd by giving him that baby blanket. I can’t say I miss Spencer at all. I do feel cheated that he didn’t get to face his killer and know that his life was about to be destroyed like he destroyed so many others.

Sharon writes: “I read in the spoilers that Evangeline and Todd are going to become involved. She is turning into quite the bed hopper these days! John, Cristian and now Todd. Who next? He is never at work. She is constantly on the prowl for a man. They have turned her character into a tramp. I can't stand to even look at her anymore. They might be bringing in a 50ish doctor to work at the hospital and possibly be a love interest for Viki. Ben was the best, but this guy will be better than Clint. Let Dorian have Clint.”

Dear Sharon: Well, Evangeline hasn’t wanted for a love interest in a long time, has she? I don’t really see her as a tramp at all, but what does annoy me is that she very seldom comes off like the independent, sharp woman she always used to be. I don’t believe the way she has let Todd manipulate her, especially when he never stops badmouthing Cristian. It makes her seem very disloyal to Cristian and like she’s more worried about Todd’s friendship that her life and future with the man she supposedly loves. She and Todd will never work as a couple in my eyes. And as far as a love interest for Viki, if she can’t have Ben back, then I say bring on the new guy and yes, let Dorian have Clint. He’s one of the very few people who can stand her guts.
