REFLECTIONS BY JILL for March 3, 2008

From

I am very glad that Michael was reinstated at the hospital. Maybe now he can get back to some semblance of his old life. It sure isn’t going to be easy for him to get Marcie out of her funk and make her realize that she needs to finally move on with her life, but she seems to be making a tiny bit of progress thanks to Michaels love and patience. I think this guy is a saint. She’s lucky that she has someone who loves her as much as Michael does, as well as a lot of people in Llanview who care about her. Then, of course, there is Todd, who reluctantly signed a statement that helped Marcie get away with no jail time. That obviously killed him, but he couldn’t let her leave court without torturing her by showing her pictures of “his son” and “his happy family.” That was cruel but it was proof that Todd never changes. On one hand he says that he finally has everything he wants with his whole family and he still feels the need to hurt someone else. That part of him will never change; of that I feel certain.

I was in shock with my mouth hanging open when Todd told Marcie that she looked tired and said, “I know, it must be tiring kidnapping someone and ruining peoples’ lives.” Is he kidding? Among all his other horrible crimes, wasn’t he the one who held Nora hostage for many months in a convent when everyone was searching for her and thought she was dead? And I can’t count how many lives he has ruined. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. I can’t believe he had the nerve to say that to Marcie.

And now the Buchanans have trouble at the office. What did they expect? Asa made enemies wherever he went because of his huge ego and greedy ways. Now Virgil Webster, supposedly Asa’s good buddy, is out to sabotage B.E. and the whole family is on alert. I like that Bo pulled Rex in to use his P.I. skills to look into the matter. I never get enough of Bo and Rex so this is a good thing. And how silly was Lindsay showing up at B.E. and hanging around? It was really stupid of her to make that comment to Nora about it being a blessing that Bo is free now to help out at B.E. Nora saw right through that comment and put her in her place by insinuating that the comment was Lindsay’s way of making herself feel better for causing Bo to lose his job.

I guess Lindsay served her purpose. It had to be Lindsay that called Dorian and told her what was going on at B.E. And Dorian has done it again. She finally got a look at that tape from the ball that she knew would protect her from being exposed rifling through all the secrets and right into her lap falls blackmail material that she can use against Nora. How does Dorian do it?

Jessica and Natalie were on the hot seat as suspects in Alison’s breakout from St. Ann’s. It was just their luck that just before Antonio could get his hands on the sketches that would prove Jess and Natalie were guilty, Jared and Nash intercepted the sketches and altered them so that they wouldn’t nail Jess and Natalie. However, things did get a bit hairy before that point when John got Natalie in one room and Antonio got Jessica in the other. All I can say is that Natalie sure got the better deal. Obviously, John knows Natalie very well and Antonio sure knows Jessica, so they figured this would be the best way to get results out of the these two sisters, but I have to tell you that Antonio really bugged me with the cold, harsh way he treated Jessica. He knew she was trying to avoid answering questions and he got madder and madder until she accused him of enjoying intimidating her because he wasn’t over her hurting him. He did have to admit that he wasn’t over the hurt but said it didn’t affect him doing his job. I’m not sure I believe that, but at one point he did seem concerned that Jess could be arrested. It’s time he got over his resentment of her. He tells her that he has moved on with his life just like she did, but it’s obvious that he still finds it hard to deal with her and can’t put his feelings aside yet.

John sees right through Natalie, but he has such a cool way of dealing with her that it’s a lot of fun to watch him make her squirm. These two know each other inside and out. I still love them together; can’t help it. I’m not so sure Jessica should get off so easily and although I am not letting Natalie off the hook, at least she thought it was a stupid idea from the beginning and was only going along with it for Jessica’s sake. Jessica doesn’t even seem very upset by the whole situation and that is more Tess’s personality than Jessica’s.

And what about Jared busting in and trying to protect Natalie from John? I had to laugh. Is he kidding? He’s so jealous he can’t stand it and he has caused every bit of misery he’s in right now. I give John a lot of credit for keeping his cool when Jared told him to back off and get away from Natalie saying, “You think just because you slept with her you get to yell at her? You’re just a boy with a badge.” Oh man, Jared is lucky that John didn’t give him a fist to the gut like he did the last time Jared mouthed off to him about Natalie. John was smart to keep his control because now he’s a cop again and he can’t go around popping every idiot that opens his mouth, even though Jared deserved it.

It’s good to have John back. I hope he stays around for a long while and every time I see him in a scene with Natalie I want them back together again even more. Is anyone listening?

So, Nash shows up at Alison’s hospital room and does he think he’s going to strangle her, thereby protecting Jessica? You just knew her eyes were going to pop open and anyway, how was he going to strangle her through that huge collar she had on her neck? LOL! He should take some lessons from Lindsay on how to kill someone and get away with it.

See ya next week.
